"It was advertised as a charming room with a view of a Japanese garden and koi pond. We found it no better than a low budget motel with a poorly maintained pond and a dead fish floating in it. The "kitchen" was adequate with a small counter set much too high, a tiny coffee maker, microwave and a mini fridge. There was an ice tray provided in the refrigerator but was useless because it leaked through multiple cracks. The shower also had a large buildup of hair in the drain cover."

"Pleasant stay. we spent the day at the Volcano Natl Park which is only 7 minutes away. had dinner in town, checked in about 5pm. when you drive onto the property you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forrest. really appreciated the tasty banana bread, snacks, and fruit that was left out. our room had a hot tub, which we didnt use. the matress was comfy. very quiet surrondings."

"Overall it was a good spot for one night. Super clean with nice amenities. However, to check in you have to arrive within a certain time and pick up and return the key at the True Value a short drive away. No potable water, but they provided a jug of bottled water. We arrived at the end of check-in time frame and it was rainy and foggy, so finding the checkin spot was challenging. TV is in a little sitting room. We didn’t shower because when you first turn on the water in the basin it was bluish. Not sure what that was all about. In the morning you can easily hear your neighbors in adjacent rooms. We stayed just one night and it met our needs given how few lodging options are in Volcano. We run and Airbnb, my suggestion is to purchase coded locks and make check-in simple and fix the water situation."

"A quiet spot located just a couple miles from Volcanoes National Park. We stayed 2 nights so we could see the park. The room and restaurant were very clean and staff were great"

"I absolutely loved everything about this property from check in to check out! The two beautiful women at the front desk were friendly, helpful and super nice and wonderful personalities!! "What a magical place! The staff was so helpful, ensuring we had everything we need due to the upcoming storm. They even texted us when the volcano was fountaining so we could rush to view it! The kids loved waking up to the sights and sounds of a rainforest. Beautiful location."
