Ocean View Vacation Rentals

"Beautiful setting in a remote location. The condominium was very comfortable, almost like home. Wish we could have stayed longer. If you are going to stay at Colony I, do your grocery shopping before arriving. Closest grocery store is a 30 min. drive. Same with dining. Be mindful that there are few restaurants near the property, and after 6 PM it's a 30 min drive minimum. "

"House was perfect. Everything you could possibly ask for. Loved feeding the fish. Beds were comfy too. If we make it back we will need to revisit!"

"During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). Lisa was a wonderful host who ensured we knew how to use the facilities, and I would definitely check in with her before your arrival to see what supplies are in your specific yurt (previous guests may have left gently used items or extra things behind - we left sunscreen and water bottles, for example)."

"I was extremely impressed by the beautiful location and well-kept environment. It shows they have pride in their homestead and take very well care of everything. The guest house was extremely clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay. I was sad that I only stayed there for one night and will absolutely be back next time.. thanks!"

"The views from the Lanai were absolutely gorgeous. Black Pebble Beach was just down the road to enjoy the sunsets and the sound of the ocean. It was about 45 minutes from Kailua Kona. The drive didn’t bother us as we drove all over the Island anyway. It was nice to go back to a peaceful community after a long day. Kitchen was fully stocked, beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards. The house did get hot with no air conditioning but we did open windows and doors after coming back and it seemed to help. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, We would definitely stay again"

"This is the perfect place for a quiet family getaway. House has everything you could ask for with comfortable beds and pillows. Full kitchen with spices on hand. Game room and dvds on first floor. Incredible views from balcony and snorkeling sets, kayaks, boogie boards etc. Private, primitive snorkeling site that can be reached scrambling over lava rocks (stairs washed out)- Not for small kiddos or anyone needing assistance, but most people would have no problem, especially since it’s so private & lots of fish! Canoe launch and beach just down the road for others. There is with grocery store about 30 mins away and house is down a twisting hill, but remote location is ideal to get away from tourist locations and an incredible night time star viewing! Will be going back. Host is terrific and will answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend!!"
