The staff was super friendly and helpful, they stored our luggage for us so we could explore the city without lugging around a bunch of suitcases. My only complaint is that one elevator was broken the entirety of our stay, which was at times pretty inconvenient as there are 19 floors and lots of guests trying to use just one elevator.

Decent hotel for a good price. Staff are very kind. Did not use the amenities but there is a small lounge with coffee/tea 24/7 and a rooftop patio. Room is ok. Could be cleaner but it’s New Yawk.

The hotel was in a super convenient spot with the train station nearby, walking distance to some stores, super clean, and the views were great from our room. We got lucky with the beautiful Empire State view. The extra resort fees did not make sense as we did not have any time to use the amenities, the purpose of the stay was to visit the city.

Booked this hotel for proximity to NYU. About a 15 walk to Washington Square Park and close to lots of restaurants and a couple of subway stops. Relatively reasonable rate for NYC. Really liked the location. Plenty going on without the touristy bustle of Times Square.

Front desk staff is exceptional. Super friendly, helpful and kind. Room was updated and clean. Nice bath products. Beds were comfortable. The hallways were horrible-extremely shabby and depressing. Elevator took forever. I believe one may have been out of service though.

A slightly tired hotel and reasonably charmless. One of the elevators wasn't working for the entirety of my 1 week stay which meant a single elevator servicing 19 floors. Waiting time was therefore often very long. On the positive side, the location is excellent and the staff were a delight.

This served my needs for several days. Walkable, close to restaurants and grocery stores. I felt safe walking, even at night. The staff was warm and super-responsive and -helpful, especially Joan and Victor Others were, too, but I didn’t get their names.

SoHo 54 is an overall great hotel in terms of affordability and location. The staff is always great and check in is a breeze. It’s my go to when visiting the area, I’ve stayed numerous times over the years and it’s always delivered.
