"If you’re on the run and need a flop house to lay low while the heat is still on, this is your place since they still pay cash and I can’t imagine that the desk clerk would be any more helpful to The Man than she was to me. I interrupted her re-run of “A Different World” at 3:30 pm and she made sure I got the message. This place is run down and the whole wants obviously got the message that it doesn’t matter, people will still stay here. I was attending an event nearby and selected a reasonably priced hotel instead of the some other options further away that were ludicrously overpriced. Bad move. The carpet and blanket both had cigarette (sure, let’s go with that) burns. The sheets had visible stains and my bedbug check got EXTREMELY thorough. Fingers crossed. The walls are beat up and need to be re-finished and painted. But the bathroom…*chef’s kiss*. The metal strip between the carpet and tile in the door had EVERY. SINGLE. NAIL sticking up waiting to cut my foot. The bathroom wasn’t…what’s the word…clean. Or safe. The toilet was dangerously cracked. Like, “the next person of above-average weight who sits down on this thing might die from being sliced up when the porcelain shatters” cracked. And for some ungodly reason, there is a motion detector in the bathroom hooked to what I can only believe is a 1 million candlepower semi truck headlight that stays on for 3 minutes whenever you enter the bathroom, even at 3am when you just have to pee. -1/10, never again."

"We have stayed here before and have always been very happy with our stay. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable and the brand of shampoos and lotions provided are great. The only frustrating thing was the booming music that came from the room above us as it lasted all evening until after midnight. This needs to be addressed. People don't care that they are disturbing other guests with their loud music. "

"We stay here because it within walking distance of Wrigley. You have to park your own car which there is a garage around the block so it’s not a huge deal but I miss them having valet parking. There is also not in and out privileges unless you want to pay again. The elevator was broken and our AC unit was really loud and did not cool the room very well. It is an older hotel and rooms are on the smaller side. There is no fridge which is inconvenient but we brought a small cooler. The water pressure of the shower was terrible and the water kept getting cold. If you are looking for a hotel within walking distance of Wrigley and just a place to sleep this hotel would be ok but i definitely would not stay for more than one night."

"Very cool hotel, but the rooms are painfully small and the photos are very misleading. Clean and cozy, but if you're staying for more than 2-3 days the small rooms and lack of space might drive you insane. Water pressure was abysmal, and the AC units needs a serious upgrade. Wouldn't stay again, but would highly recommend to our of town Cubs/baseball fans."

"I recently stayed at your hotel on 5/2/26 for a one-night trip to Chicago to attend an event. While I found the facility to be very clean and well-maintained, I am writing to express my frustration regarding an unexpected upcharge for fitness amenities. I was shocked to find a mandatory fee added to my bill for the fitness area, which I was not made aware of prior to booking. Had I known about this charge, I would have chosen a different hotel. As a guest in town for a specific event, I had no time to use these additional amenities and was only at the hotel to rest. Because the fitness area uses card entry, it would be simple to enable access only for guests who opt-in to the service, rather than forcing a charge on every guest. As it stands, I do not believe in paying for amenities I did not use, especially without prior notice. Due to this policy, I felt compelled to leave a low rating. I would only consider staying here again if this added charge was made optional rather than a requirement of the stay. I hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve the experience for future guests. I hope you share this review with the hotel, itself, as I found this a cause for me to lower my opinion of the facility. Not everyone stay at a hotel just for the amenities; especially in Chicago."
