Overall I am happy with our choice, I have to say location is little hard to find and it’s tricky specially if it’s your first time visiting this town. Also I wish they were offer us something to go for breakfast since we were leaving around 7:30am for our Sahara tour! I did not think about that till I heard other Riad offered to their guests. That would make me more happy than just tell me no breakfast since you are leaving early.

Riad well located in the Medina. Staff is very attentionate and helpful and can provide support to organise excursion in and out of town. Rooms are spacious and kept very clean. Would recommend it for a stay in Marrakech.

Very close to the medina.
It was a pleasant stay. Ali and Janess are very humble and kind people. You will have to speak a little French if you want to speak to Janess as she doesn't speak any English. Ali is very supportive and tries to accomodate as best as he can. The hotel is very clean and I will possibly go back. If you want accomadation near the medina, stay here, however be prepared to pay a small fee to one of the lads that will help show you were it is situated as it down a few cobbled streets. Once you find it, you won't get lost again

A charming riad in a super location
Bottom line: we would definitely be happy to stay at Riad Louaya again. You need to be aware of what you're buying into when you choose to stay at a riad, which is to say that you shouldn't expect 5-star hotel luxuries and sterile, ordered perfection. What makes Louaya charming is the slight roughness around the edges. That said, the location is wonderful: well within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff couldn't be friendlier and more attentive. The decor of the rooms is charming and romantic. The breakfast is excellent. The evening meal - which we had once - was very good. The terrace is perfect for catching the sun. And the whole place just has a relaxed, welcoming, family-run feel. Two things to bear in mind. As this is an old-style riad, privacy in the rooms (as regards sound-proofing) is not amazing. However, there is minimal noise from the outside world. Lighting in our room was a touch on the dim side. However, overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay here and were sorry to leave.

Amazing Riad. Beautifully decorated. Great roof terrace. Truly stunning little hotel. Above all the staff were fantastic. Very polite and very , very friendly. Amin and fellow staff were great and I really enjoyed talking to him. His English is extremely good. We stayed at this Riad on two occasions on our trip and had a great time. There are many advantages to the Riad, great location to all the sites, really helpful staff and a peaceful environment to relax in after a busy day sight seeing. The Riad is a little shabby looking but i think this gives it character, and the rooms were very comfortable (if you like hard beds) and clean. We had really nice bathrooms attached. Free breakfast was simple but lovely to eat under the orange trees. Roof terrace is a relaxing space to read a book and chill. I would highly recommend to stay here. However, I would suggest getting a room upstairs as the room on the ground floor has a shared bathroom and could be a little noisy. Please note the Riad is difficult to find the first time, but luckily we had written down directions from a previous review. Directions are, get dropped off by taxi at the Dar el Bacha and then cross the road and walk past the restaurant Majana on your right and take your first right. follow this round and take another right and walk to the very end of the narrow road and turn right. The door to the Riad is the first on the right number 24. Enjoy!!!!

Lovely Riad and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly! Our room, the Jamine Room, was lovely and very clean. The staff cooked us dinner one evening which we ate on the roof terrace - would highly recommend.

Loved it!
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Riad Louaya in January for 4 nights. The Riad is lovely, staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are great too! For the price, the hotel is perfect. Its not luxury but you have everything you could possibly need and there are little local stalls and the souks close by for anything else you might want. The staff working at the Riad were great, they went out of their way to help us, give us advice, share their knowledge and make our trip special. They were definitely the highlight of this hotel and we would return to Riad Louaya because of them!

Terrible stuff
We stayed at this hotel just for one night, and was disappointed from the first minute. The stuff didn't speak English at all. But it wasn't the biggest issue, it smelled so badly in there as during our staying they were cleaning sewers. Plus we had breakfast included, but when we were living (at 8 a.m.), the girl that works there were still sleeping, so of course we got no breakfast. It was even hard to get her up.

The Riad itself was lovely, really clean and rooms were a good size. We had to ask for a fan the second night as it was so stuffy in the room- but 35 degrees so expected! Bathroom in our room wasn't ensuite which I think should have been mentioned when booking, but it was ok, good size and clean. Riad when first arriving was hard to find but lots of 'willing' people to take you there subject to a good price!! Good location. Unfortunately in comparison with the other Riads we stayed at, at the beginning of the trip the service here was bad from staff. We weren't welcomed and shown around, or pointed out where we were on the map, told how to get in/out the riad etc, from our experience this seemed to be the norm in other riads! We arrived feeling a bit lost really! The people looking after the riad were young and had their T.Vs/laptops on full volume most of the day and night, whilst yes during Ramadam there was not much consideration to their guests. Breakfast was stale loaf bread and microwave pancake things. Unfortunately there was a language barrier with the staff, which is fine, however we tried our hardest to communicate including using a translator on our phones to ask more complicated questions and they just seemed amused at us. Alas a disappointing end to the holiday.

Lovely Riad in a great location
Pros - Lovely riad, excellent value for money, friendly staff, convenient location, nice rooftop terrace, nice breakfast.. Cons - bathroom for the Ambre room is across the courtyard, have to leave the key in the door of the riad/with staff, impossible to find for the first time (if arriving by taxi - get dropped of at Dar El Bacha and then cross the road and walk past the restaurant Marjana on your right and take your first right - follow this round and take another right and walk to the very end of the narrow road and turn right - the door to the riad is the first on the right - Number 24).

Liebenswerter Ort der Entschleunigung
Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt. Kein Wunsch blieb unerfüllt: sei es der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen, individuelle Frühstückszeiten, Ausdruck unserer Tickets für diverse Aktivitäten, telefonische Rücksprache mit den Veranstaltern, zusätzliche Decken für die kühlen Nächte und Insidertipps. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, das Zimmer sauber und schön eingerichtet und die traditionell ausgestattete Dachterrasse bot eine gemütliche Zuflucht, um sich von der Hektik der Medina zu erholen. Wir danken Ali für seine Gastfreundschaft und können das Riad uneingeschränkt empfehlen!!!

Einzigartig idylischen Ruheoase!
Wir waren absolut begeistert von diesem kleinen schönen Riad! ein großes Dankeschön an Ali, der immer sehr hilfsbereit war und sich sehr gut um seine Gäste gekümmert hat! Mit nur 5 Zimmern ist Das Riad sehr überschaulich, was in dem quirligen Marrakesch aber sehr gut tat, da es wirklich eine Oase der Ruhe war. Trotzdem war man in weniger als 15 Minutem, vorbei an authentischen und schönen Innenhöfen mit Läden und relaxteren Soukgassen auf dem Djemaa el fna. Ein paar Gassen weiter konnte man in einer weniger touritsischen Gegend super frisches Brot, Obst und Gemüse für unterwegs besorgen. In direkter Nähe zum Königspalast war es in der Umebung immer gut beleuchtet und wir haben uns in keinem Momant unsicher gefühlt, auch wenn wir spät Abends durch die Gassen zurück zum Riad gingen. Unser Zimmer Jasmin war im 1. OG und sehr angenehm beleuchtet. Die Dachterrasse lud zum abendlichen Verweilen ein und es roch überall sehr angenehm blumig durch den Orangenbaum im Innenhof.

Nuestra habitación resultó ser bastante pequeña y bastante calurosa. Estaba ubicada en la azotea del riad. Al llegar la dirección intento cobrarnos más por la reserva a pesar de que constaba que la hemos hecho para 3 personas. Después de aclarar todo, no tuvimos más problemas y el personal del Riad resultó ser muy amable.

Superbe week-end à Marrakech
Au cœur de la Médina,le Riyad Louaya est un havre de silence où seuls les oiseaux sont entendus. Sincères remerciements à Ali, toujours prêt à nous rendre service. Il nous a même concocté le petit-déjeuner à 3h30 avant de partir pour l'aéroport.

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent dans ce Riad ! L'équipe est très serviable et agréable. La chambre maginifique et propre. Le lit est refait et les serviettes sont changées. Riad calme. Il possede également une belle terrasse ensoleillée. Très bon séjour, nous recommandons ce Riad.

Joli riad mais entretien limite
Très joli riad situé dans la médina. Quartier très calme même un peu inquiétant le premier soir ... mais à tort : aucun danger ! Chambre simple mais correcte mais ... le ménage est assez sommaire : le lit est fait, les serviettes changées si on le demande mais le balai ne passe pas souvent ! Les plumes d'un moineau qui squattait la chambre le premier soir ont passé la semaine avec nous. La terrasse où l'on peut prendre le petit déjeuner serait très agréable si les coussins n'étaient pas le refuge des chats errants du quartier : traces et odeur ! Sinon, le personnel est très sympathique et serviable. ATTENTION : Au moment du paiement par carte, le terminal bancaire ne fonctionne jamais, on vous demande du liquide. Comme nous avions atteint notre plafond de retrait au distributeur et qu'il nous manquait près de 1000 DH, le terminal s'est miraculeusement remise en route !!!

Riad Parfait pour des vacances sans prétention
Nous avons passé deux nuits après avoir fait le sud du Maroc. Le Riad est difficile à trouver mais lorsque nous l'avons finalement trouvé, nous avons été très content de l'endroit. Proche de tout, propre, attention cordiale. Les personnel est très aimable et la nourriture est super. Excellent rapport qualité / prix. ATTENTION (avis que n'a rien à avoir avec le service du Riad mais qui est quand même utile) : étant donné qu'il est difficile de trouver l'endroit, des gamins dans la rue s'est sont offert en nous disant qu'ils peuvent nous indiquer le chemin. Nous avons accepté et ils ont mis les valises dans une espèce de chariot. Nous avons marché environ 300 mts dans des ruelles étroites et nous sommes arrivée au Riad. La surprise, les garçons nous ont demandé 100 DH en dissant que c'Est le prix pour nous avoir porté les valises. Nous avons trouvé cela très exagéré de leur part car nous venons de payer 70 DH pour une course de taxi de l'aéroport qui avait pris environ 20 minutes.

Autentisk og hyggeligt
Vi boede på Riad Louaya af tre omgange og fik derfor afprøvet tre forskellige værelser, der alle var hyggelige og komfortable. Vi havde en enkelt dag i Marrakech inden vi næste dag tog ud på et planlagt trek i Atlasbjergene Personalet var hjælpsomme og lod os efterlade vores store rygsække mens vi var væk i tre dage. Vi kom tilbage og havde en overnatning inden vi tog ud til kysten et par dage, for til sidst at vende tilbage for en sidste overnatning inden vi fløj hjem. Vi fik gode råd om spisesteder, og fik tilbud om at vi kunne få bestilt mad, hvis vi ikke orkede at gå ud. Der var rent og pænt og morgenmaden var glimrende, med friskpresset juice og god kaffe/the. Om dagen var der en venlig ikke engelsktalende kvinde og om aftenen en venlig engelsktalende mand. Begge var søde og hjælpsomme. Eneste minus er at det er en lille smule svært at finde frem til dette Riad første gang du kommer til Marrakech.

El Riad Louaya esta localizado centrico en la medina de Marrakech pero la primera vez es imposible encontrarla. Llamad al hotel que os vengan a buscar en el exterior de la medina y os enseñen como llegar sinó os puede pasar como nosotras que unos niños nos pasearon por callejuelas laberínticas oscuras durante una hora! El servicio, habitación, atención de Hannas fue fantástica.

Verstecktes Kleinod!
Haben das Hotel im Mai 2013 kurzfristig gebucht und waren wirklich begeistert von der guten Lage und dem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Etwas versteckt liegt es schon, so dass man die 1-2 Euro für die "Wegbeschreibung" der Locals gut investieren kann. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist, dass das Bett nicht gemacht worden ist, da die Buchung nicht richtig übermittelt worden ist. Also lieber mal kurz vorher noch eine Mail hinschreiben...
