"Very good hotel - would definitely go back"
Just come back from a short break with friends and family at the Kenzi Club Agdal Marina. We were a bit worried after reading some negative reviews, but all in all, we had a great stay there. The staff were excellent, even if English is not their first or second language. All were very helpful. The animations team were all very enthusiastic. We only caught one of their shows, which was not what we were expecting and not for us, but they were giving it their all and enjoying themselves! The spa was reasonably priced and the staff there were also eager to please. I have a couple of minor complaints - the cocktails on offer were all too sweet and the air con didn't work properly. Both resolved by having alternative drinks, and leaving the balcony door open! Not sure what the hotel would be like during high season, and there's probably not enough there to keep people busy if they are seriously active, but I would definitely go back, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

"Quiet and relaxing place with wonderful gardens"
Overall very good. Staff is friendly and speaks English. It is not a typical hotel, but a maze of smaller buildings connected by pretty paths in the garden. The lobby is tiny, but the place is fantastic once you walk around and discover it. There is a fireplace in the bar!

Riad Jona

Riad Zitoune el Kedim 34, Marrakech - Map
"Captivating riad, wonderful atmosphere"
The first impression that Riad Jona made on me was that of stylish calm. The atmosphere was very appealing, the décor was very stylish and the air was enriched with the scent of orange and cinnamon. The reception and lounge areas were luscious and very comfortable, and the staff were fully attentive without being intrusive - which was the perfect balance for us weary travellers. Our room was very sizeable and decorated in a very Eastern / North African / Moorish style, which was a joy to relax in. Breakfast and dinner were served on the roof terrace, which was festooned with literally dozens of rose bushes, all in bloom, evocative lighting for the evening and a splendid, expansive view of the city. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the Jacuzzi or swimming pool, but the sun lounge areas were very appealing, and superbly close to the terrace bar. Breakfast varied every morning, and never failed to delight: a selection of pancakes, toasted Berber flat-breads, conserves sourced from local desert-border orchards, the lightest home-made yoghurt and plenty of mellifluous honey. Rich, aromatic coffee and smooth, tasty fruit juices brought the perfect balance to a perfect start to the day. Dinner involved a delicious selection of starters, show-casing the local cuisine. The lamp tagine was utterly delicious. I hadn't visited Morocco in several years, and only now realise what we'd been missing out on. Go stay at Riad Jona. You'll love it.

"No ac in the desert "
There was ac but it was really hot took a while to sleep other then that the experience wonderful enjoyed the pool def a good way to stay cool .. Both the deluxe room and suite were very comfy was hoping the ac worked better so I paid for an upgrade no luck there but still worth the upgrade for 50 euros ... Staff was great food was very tasty freshly squeezed orange juice with ice was clutch .. It is August so probably hotter then usual but good trip very calm and still close to the souks good medina experience if that's what u want other wise hiverenge is a good place to stay more of a hotel spa experience over city ... My wife thought ="... I loved this riad! Hajiba, our host, was super friendly, super thoughtful, so welcoming and really made our stay here memorable. The rooms were clean, authentic Moroccan feel, enjoyed a romantic private diner in the hotel garden. Food had that home made taste. Would love to stay here again! Location was excellent, just minutes away from all the souks.

Es Saadi Gardens & Resort - Hôtel

Rue Ibrahim El Mazini, Marrakech - Map
"Hotel Es Saadi not to be confused with Palace."
Myself and friends recently stayed at the Es saadi for my hen week. The photographs on the expedia website are of the sister hotel the Es Saadi Palace not the hotel. The hotel is a reasonable standard, clean and has a French colonial charm. The staff were mostly helpful. The breakfast was excellent and well worth the price to stay. The pool is small but fine. The a La carte restaurant was nice but as expected expensive. For great authentic Moroccan food at reasonable prices in beautiful surroundings I would recommend a visit to The Red House nearby. A brilliant experience overall.
