"Outstanding hotel. We would go back without question. As Canadians we enjoyed our 6 nights. Our room was the least expensive and was at the back of the building. No matter, the room was great regardless. Excellent staff!! There are however two things the hotel needs to work on. First, we were told that it was only 60% full. Even so, it was difficult to find 2 loungers with shade. With the sun being SO strong, shade was a physical necessity. Being on the beach, shade was precious little. They did not have umbrellas on the beach, so good luck finding a couple of palm trees. I can not imagine what kind of scrum there would be if the hotel was 100% full. Secondly, the evening restaurants are ok, not outstanding. The best is the fish restaurant. The Asian restaurant is seriously subpar. If you are going offer Asian food, then find a chef who can cook it or else change the restaurant to something you know. We did not go to the Mexican restaurant. When we are on holiday, we don't want to eat Tacos and enchiladas The steakhouse is in between great and mediocre. Choose the filet, it is great. Avoid the flank steak, it is a rubber sole. On the positive side, Breakfast buffet is excellent, as too dinner buffet. The sports bar is also great for small meals at lunch time. It is great that there are no exceptions to "all inclusive". The bar served great cocktails and it was clear that the spirits were not watered down. Hallelujah! So overall, I give this location a 4 out of 5. "

"The staff was really wonderful, especially Justo at the Expedia desk. There was a mix-up with our booking and he was so kind and helpful and hospitable. Took the time to make things special for us which we all appreciated greatly. The beach and grounds are incredibly beautiful as well. "

"Relaxing "

"The resort has a very frustrating and poorly designed restaurant reservation system. You can only book dinners 2 days in advance, which means for the first two days of your stay, you don’t have access to the restaurants at all—only the buffet. Even worse, it’s nearly impossible to secure reservations when they do open. Guests are constantly competing for limited spots, and the system becomes stressful instead of convenient. The staff seemed aware of the issue but were unable to help, as everything had to be done through an app that was unreliable and difficult to use. This turned what should have been a relaxing vacation into a stressful experience. We stayed at Krystal Grand in Cabo about 7 months ago and had a wonderful, relaxing time. That positive experience is exactly why we chose to book Krystal Grand in Puerto Vallarta. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different. After this experience, we would not choose to stay at Krystal Grand again"
