The breakfast was great! Kelly, the host, is very kind and helps with everything you need. We enjoyed staying and traveling around the area, ended up staying 6 nights exploring. Check out Awapuhi Labyrinth nearby for example. We especially enjoyed the nightly jacuzzi floats under the stars and nature sounds. Very recommended for the great value for money.

This is a lovely B&B in a heritage home. The ocean was right outside my window and there was a lovely sitting area in the room. Breakfast was delicious, and the owners and managers were very kind. It is located just across the bridge from historic downtown Hilo, so it’s quiet but convenient for restaurants and shopping.

Fantastic property if you are a realistic person. Staff is great and will see to anything you need.

This is my new favourite place to stay in Hilo! The room was very comfortable & clean, and beyond my expectations (no mold problems at all). It is connected to a common kitchen area that had everything we needed to cook meals. Fresh fruit, bread, and jams were available for breakfast, and coffee in the room. The lanai was fantastic for sitting during the rain, and the garden area was nice for eating breakfast. Also, the wifi was very fast in the room (and garden). We were able to arrive...

Great location close to the Park. Room was clean and spacious. Accommodation is not staffed and we had no need to call anyone. On site parking no issues. All in all a decent place to kick back and relax.

Beautiful natural spaces! Mature, rare trees on the property, framing the hot tub. Make sure to know what you are booking. Other guests might not be as respectful as you (eg smoking cigs right outside your window)

So peaceful and without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we saw on our trip. Only wished I had booked more days

This property was a great place to stay while visiting volcano national park and the surrounding area. The animals were really friendly and a joy to be around. Theresa greeted us when we got there and provided us with helpful information on things to see and do. The breakfast was amazing! We appreciated the many thoughtful touches like the heated blanket, heated towel rack, flashlight and umbrellas for visiting the park. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The Aloha Crater Lodge is a family-run place for discerning tourists (the word 'hotel' is not really appropriate here). Do not expect sterile modern comforts, think more along the lines of an exotic rural setting which is nevertheless completely comfortable. Add four friendly dogs and two bunnies, a tropical forest and, of course, the very accommodating owners and you'll get the picture. There is, of course, the guided walk through a lava tube but we did not have the time to take it (pity!). All...
