When you first open the door at Mahana 1113, you are facing a wall of windows showcasing the panoramic views of endless waves and the islands of Lanai and Molokai in the distance. The Mahana at Kaanapali provides everything you need for your vacation in paradise. From the lanai you will often see turtles in the crystal-clear water, and from December through April watch humpback whales breach from the ocean. Bring your binoculars for a close-up, unobstructed view of the sea life. Watching turtles and whales from this vantage point feels like floating on top of the world.

The quiet surroundings and manicured tropical gardens at the Mahana at Kaanapali offer guests a wonderful sense of privacy yet all the exciting activities of Kaanapali Beach are close by. The resort is located in the central and convenient Honokowai area on Maui's west side. A private gate from The Mahana provides easy access to the boardwalk that goes for miles and eventually leads to the Kaanapali Beach resort area. Take a short walk on the boardwalk or the beach to Duke’s restaurant next door or to one of the nearby resorts for fine dining and entertainment.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to weather, heavy surf, strong currents, and tides. Due to Maui’s rural setting, you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Maui is in a tropical climate. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

We couldn't ask for a better location! Being able to watch the turtles, whales and fish right from our lanai is incredible. The condo is small but who spends much time inside other than the day of the Kona low anyway!

The property was clean, accessible to a grocery store, restaurants, a great massage spa, but the best was the incredible view from the Lanai. The snorkeling right off the beach was great.

The Best View in West Maui

Located just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the large resorts is The Mahana. We've stayed at The Mahana 4 different times because the view is unbeatable. While other places boast about ocean views, this condo is as close to the ocean as you can get. The condo itself is as advertised and clean. It is updated and has all of the items you need to make your stay easy, including beach towels and chairs.The location is perfect. You can walk to the larger resorts, food trucks, restaurants, and grocery store. However, you probably won't want to leave your lanai!

Wonderful place in a great location

The place was terrific and the location was wonderful. All of the great West Maui Activities were very close by, and this beautiful condo provided a great home for our week.

Lovely stay

The room is right on the ocean and nicely appointed. We could see turtles in the water from the lanai and hear the waves all nite. Amazing and soothing. Easy access to walk along the beach or on the boardwalk. Beautiful. Only problem was no air conditioning while it was being worked on but property management brought us a stand up fan to help.we definitely would stay here again

We were here a little over a week for our honeymoon! Our favorite parts of this stay were on the lanai- coffee, sunset, counting turtles- but we also loved the location of the Mahana, having all of the necessities (kitchen, laundry, etc.) of home, and having all the beach gear that we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful location!!

We traveled the whole island and thought this area was best. Especially this property looking directly over the ocean. We were able to watch whales and sea turtles right from our deck on the 11th floor. We use the beach chairs and umbrella and enjoyed snorkeling all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!!

This resort is very quiet with the most amazing view of the ocean. Plenty of room for the two of us. We really enjoyed being able to walk to Dukes for dinner and several other restaurants along the boardwalk. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will be coming back as it is the perfect location.

Paradise as listed

The minute we walked in and saw the ocean, I knew this was going to be the place for us! The studio literally sits on the water. The place was even better than pictured online. The views from the balcony and inside the unit are absolutely incredible! Mahana was in a quite area with shops and restaurants in walking distance. If you want a clean, peaceful place to enjoy God’s magnificent beauty, this is definitely it!

45th wedding anniversary and our third trip to Maui. Highly recommend this condo. The lanai was comfortable and the best part was enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the waves. The whales were very active and fasinating to watch. Enjoyed every minutes. Til we meet again.

Beautiful view and beautiful condo

Absolutely adorable! It was very close to the touristy side of Maui. The property was clean, and getting in and out of the house was a breeze because they send you codes for the door rather than keys (makes it nice for when you want to swim and don't want to bring keys to the beach!) Parking was pretty easy, we had to parallel a few times. About 20 minutes from Lahaina, 10 minutes from Whaler's village (so it's not walking distance to those areas), and about an hour or so to the airport. Great condo and perfect for a honeymoon!!

Pure bliss

Beautiful tranquil studio. It was smaller than expected but worked out just great. Having the bed near the lanai was great. You can hear the ocean waves crash as you drift off to sleep. Condo had every beach amenity which was great we took advantage and ventured around to the different beaches with chairs and cooler that was provided. Great communication prior to arriving. Easy check in. The only downside was the lack of beach, and the beach wasn’t flat which made it hard to take Long Beach walks. But the view from our unit easily outweighed that. Great stay.

We would stay there again.

The whole experience, from booking, through check in, through our stay, and check out was exceptional. The view from the room is breathtaking. During our stay in mid-August, the sun set perfectly between Lanai and Molokai with the only risk to a beautiful sunset were the clouds. The property was immaculate. The beach is an elevator ride and just a few steps away. We swam with sea turtles and could see schools of dolphins from the balcony. Duke’s is easy walking distance for a quick meal. Maui Paradise Properties (the property management group) gave great instructions through the whole process. They even gave us weather warnings. Through no fault of the property, we experienced a brief blackout due to an impending storm. At just past midnight, the management group was answering texts about the blackout and the storm. Highly recommended. We’d stay there again!
