Dirty. Cockroaches on the floor. Dirt/dust everywhere. Mould. HVAC duct blowing dust. Exposed electrical wires. Ongoing construction noise and nuisance. Entrances/exits blocked/closed. Low quality food, cocktails, service, etc. given skyrocketing prices. No free beach chairs and umbrellas. Limited extremely expensive number of chairs and umbrellas; $200/day. Reserved a suite with two beds in the bedroom. Received only one bed. Compensation of free breakfast and half of one night room rate did not even cover the difference of higher price of two beds I paid.

The property and amenities are dated. Overall - it’s not bad , but definitely not to the same quality as the Ritz hotels on the mainland. We checked in late evening, and the staff was very dismissive and it took a good 15 minutes to find our room which is quite tricky to find. And the luggage didn’t come in from the bell hop for another 20 minutes. We requested a few items prior to our visit - a form pillow and that the pullout couch be made as a bed - both of which were confirmed by the staff over the phone. Neither of these items were addressed when we got in. In fact, the pillow request wasn’t respected till day 3 - and we got one with hair strands on it. Had to send it back, etc. Again - just not something I would’ve expected at an expensive resort like the Ritz.

This was our first stay in Hawaii and this property is amazing. So many funs things to do, close enough to Uber to most places and just breathtaking views all around. Would stay here again!

Beautiful Resort with exemplary staff. Restaurants are a bit expensive but that is to be expected in Hawaii and the fact that it is a resort. The Ritz-Carlton really cares about its guess and will help you with anything you need from extra towels in your room,sites to see, and they will help you find transportation if you choose not to rent a car. They have three pools and two hot tubs that are open 24 hours and includes a view of the ocean. Which is excellent after a long day of sightseeing. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
