Great location and staff.
There needs to be some money spent on maintenance. A can of WD40 would go a mile with screeching sliding doors. Curtains are patched together with industrial tape.

This hotel is bit old or outdate except the lobby which seems to be newly renovated. The location is fatastic and I would give 10 of walkable. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel where you can take bus to most of attractions in the city.
Overall quality of services could be better but I think it is what it gets for a 3-star hotel.
One thing I don't like (maybe same as other hotels) is that the hotel doesn't provide self parking and you have to pay the valet service $50 per day. It's not friendly to most toursts prefering to drive around by a rental car.
I absolutely love this property and can't wait to go back. We stayed there for a week and have no complaints. It's so conveniently located at the south end of Waikiki so you're far from the resort area where it's way more crowded and too commercial for our tastes. We had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the beach/ocean. When it rained you could hear all the birds and apes at the zoo across the street enjoying it. It's a quick and short walk across the street to the beach which is usually not very crowded. And you have the option of the sea-walled beach area if you're looking for calm waters. They provide free reef-safe sunblock and after-sun balm in the pool area. There are two fantastic restaurants in the hotel - a sushi restaurant on the ground floor, and an American food and bar type on the 2nd floor. There's also a very convenient ABC store on the ground floor that came in clutch in the evenings after a long day of adventuring and swimming. It's walking distance to a lot of great restaurants in Waikiki. The shuttle stops to luaus and sightseeing tours are walking distance, as well. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the lobby was really nice to lounge in waiting for an Uber or just hanging out. They have some nice rocking chairs in a huge glass window with great views of the park across the street and Diamond Head. Love this place.
No ice machine on each floor. Didn’t get fresh towels and coffee each day without asking.

Our room looked nothing like the pictures online. I have a feeling that some of this property has been updated but not all. The area we were in was all sort of dingy outdated brown carpets. Peeling paint. The doors rattled loose in the jam all night with the wind. The photos online show clean looking, updated rooms. This was not our experience.
