A Quiet Spot

Dream mother daughter getaway

A nice getaway

Amazing view, private and wonderful! Hosts provided many essentials and thought of virtually everything. A couple of suggestions for the owners: the mattress was very soft and we would suggest a more supportive mattress. A loveseat rather than two chairs would provide for a more romantic experience. With all of that said, most relaxing trip we’ve had in years though. Thank you!!!

Otter Point Relax

Beautiful Views by the Ocean
Spent a week at this restful retreat listening to the waves as cruise ships sailed by. The views! Plenty to do in the area and an abundance of wildlife. Travelled the Pacific Marine Circle. Kayaked with seals in Sooke Basin, sat at Orveas Bay and listened to the waves, explored tidal pools at Botanical Beach in Port Renfrew, stopped at Sheringham Lighthouse, Kinsol Trestle and Shirley Market and a leisurely tube down Cowichan River. Magical starry skies and the Milky Way while lounging in the hot tub after a 30km bike ride on the Galloping Goose Trail up past the Sooke Potholes. Home is well stocked, bed is comfy and hosts were quick to respond when we had a question. Would definitely recommend a stay at Luna by the Seas to renew and recharge your soul. Truly, a magical getaway!

Gorgeous views
This was a perfect getaway to rest and relax. The hot tub was really wonderful and lovely to sit in after wandering around all the trails at the near by beaches. And you could watch all the cruise ship floating by. But my favourite was the deer munching the grass 3 feet from where I was sitting. Plus the bald eagle perched in the trees was nothing to be sniffed at. The otter and the seal were not bad either. Sitting at the table looking out at the view reminded us of being in a very fancy hotel in Sorrento, Italy minus the volcano!

A wonderful stay of five nights in June- the cabin is super cute, clean and well equipped with everything you need. The views are incredible. The hot tub is a wonderful feature and perfect for after a chilly afternoon of whale watching or after a day of hiking. From the cabin we enjoyed day trips to nearby hikes, Victoria, and Salt Spring Island. But perhaps the best part of the stay was simply enjoying coffee on the deck in the morning watching the fishing boats pass by.

The views! Absolutely stunning. The cabin has everything you need. Lots to do in the area but we also spent a lot of time on the deck and in the hot tub just relaxing because it is so beautiful.

Unbelievable views
This was our second stay and we enjoyed it just as much or more than the first time. Seals and eagles within minutes of checking in. It was a quiet, comfortable, clean and relaxing experience. We will be back again next year for sure.

Disconnect and Reconnect!

The wildlife and the scenery was unbelievable we seen eagles whales and tons of sea lions The eagles literally landed 10 feet from us in the tree and sat there and ate it was awesome to watch

Beautiful oceanside cottage
Lovely cottage with amazing views of the water. The space is cozy - perfect for a couple. We spent our time watching seals and humpback whales from the deck and enjoying the hot tub. Communication was great and check in was simple. Looking forward to staying here again!

First time at this cabin and will definitely be back. Cabin was well stocked with everything you need for a perfect romantic getaway. The views are amazing and the bed was comfortable which was a bonus. Bring a laptop with downloaded movies since there isn’t a tv. Also bring binoculars to enjoy all the wildlife.

Serene Oceanside Retreat
Glenda and Mike - thank you for having thought of everything. Your cabin is more comfortable and the setting more lovely than the photos - the views are breathtaking. We looked forward to waking up and seeing the sunrise and watching the otters and seals while having coffee on the porch every morning. And the sunset and stars (and hot tub) every night! We’re back home in New Hampshire (US) now, where we ride our bicycles to the beach - but the coast here as beautiful as it is pales in comparison. We loved Sooke. We are already talking about returning to the island to explore more of it soon! (But honestly, some days we never wanted to leave the cabin. And one day we didn’t!). Thank you for an amazing vacation rental.

Great place to relax by the Salish Sea
Small cozy location with a 200 degree view of the sea. Several places to sit and watch the day, sea vessels, wildlife go by - including the hot tub. Definitely a switching off location as cell phone coverage spotty at best, so plan to step away. Plenty of eating options in Sooke which is close by. Overall enjoyed our visit and would go again

So peaceful and quiet! And beautiful!
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, comfortable, relaxing!! We loved staying here - super comfortable house/cabin with a wonderful view! Super comfortable bed, great hot water, wonderful breeze flowing through house! We saw 2 bald eagles, many heron and seagulls, 3 harbor porpoises/seals, a whale, and a dolphin. Plus 4 cruise ships and a couple of cargo ships, and large number of fishing boats. And it was a full moon (almost), so wonderful seeing the moonlight on the water. Definitely take care (heed the host's advice on this) when pulling out of the driveway - it is a fast road on a curve. Definitely go to Shirley Delicious if you can - it was surely delicious!

Another wonderful stay
I enjoyed my previous visit to Luna Seas so much I came back again. Just a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. Could sit and stare at the view for days. This time we were lucky enough to see a pod of orcas as well as the usual eagles and seals. Heaven.

This is a fantastic property with the best view we have ever experienced. The small house was fully equipped and had everything we needed, and we appreciated the small personal touches that were provided by the owner. Extremely comfortable bed and we loved the hot tub - so much so that we ended up enjoying the property more than expected instead of exploring the area around Sooke. Highly recommend this place and it is a great escape.

This home is absolutely perfect to get away and unwind! We spent our honeymoon there. The home was incredibly clean and just as listed. Had all the amenities that we needed to make us feel at home. The hosts Glenda and Mike were very helpful with answering questions and quick friendly responses. The best part was the amazing scenery and disconnecting for a bit. We loved this home!
