Very beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and private. We wanted to be away from the crowds and we were. Had dinner at the nearby golf club and the view from the deck was as fantastic as the food. We were close to hiking. We drove south to the Lake area and there is a great tourist info center.

I will never stay in this establishment again. This is a, significantly, overpriced motel with no public rooms, no dining and no bar. The amenities are a pool and parking, oh and a $15 per room dining discount at another hotel 200 yards away, hopeless! During our stay the overloaded electrical system in our room tripped out several times and the maintenance guy “fixed” it by pulling out the plugs for the kettle & coffee. It should be reported to the town authorities as a safety concern. The bathroom sink did not drain so just do your teeth in the shower( the model of which was last spotted on a tour of Alcatraz) and on one occasion the bathroom door locked itself. This time the guy who turned up couldn’t get into it either and so he sent for someone else. The next chap arrived armed with a screwdriver to unlatch the lock and suggested it was a known issue that could be resolved by using a coin, or indeed a screwdriver! Apart from those little issues and the view of the next hotel’s wall just a cosy 30 feet away it was a an experience! What an awful hotel. The worst stay in our series of 12 hotels on this tour around the Rockies. You should change the name of the place to “Fawlty Towers of Banff!”
