The property was unplugged as advertised and had the option for guests to make their own campfire in the evening.
We were booked for 5 nights in a one bedroom suite on the main floor of the 2-story lodge. The noise from the activity of the guests above transferred below to us including flushing toilets, and moving around their room. There were loud clicking sounds as the water pressurized coming from the wall near the head of the bed, even at night. I would not recommend staying in one of the ground floor suites.
We were disappointed that the ability to self cater our meals was hampered by a very small fridge /freezer unit. We were coming from a condo unit in Panorama, and were unable to keep the food we already had. We had to leave food in the car to freeze overnight or throw it out. Staff were unable to assist us with this explaining all of the units had the same size fridge.
The fireplace thermostat was not working and when they came to service it shortly after arrival, he said it had not been working properly and suggested to turn it on and off manually. We had to open and close windows to regulate the temperature.
At over $350/ night, the cost was very high relative to the value of the experience. We decided to leave after one night, cancelling our 5 day reservation and booked elsewhere. To their credit, they eventually refunded our remaining 4 nights with their apologies.
Guests should be made aware that the road, 1A, may not be well ploughed.
