From the moment of check in to the moment of check out we had an awesome experience here. The property itself is gorgeous. We were there in March so it was a winter wonderland. There are trails to explore on foot or by fat bike, campfire to use, a steam sauna and gym, skating rink and tons of other things. The suite we had was also wonderful. It felt like our own little cabin in the woods. The cherry on top would be the staff at the resort. They were also phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for more. We will be coming back and staying longer to explore more.

The property was unplugged as advertised and had the option for guests to make their own campfire in the evening. We were booked for 5 nights in a one bedroom suite on the main floor of the 2-story lodge. The noise from the activity of the guests above transferred below to us including flushing toilets, and moving around their room. There were loud clicking sounds as the water pressurized coming from the wall near the head of the bed, even at night. I would not recommend staying in one of the ground floor suites. We were disappointed that the ability to self cater our meals was hampered by a very small fridge /freezer unit. We were coming from a condo unit in Panorama, and were unable to keep the food we already had. We had to leave food in the car to freeze overnight or throw it out. Staff were unable to assist us with this explaining all of the units had the same size fridge. The fireplace thermostat was not working and when they came to service it shortly after arrival, he said it had not been working properly and suggested to turn it on and off manually. We had to open and close windows to regulate the temperature. At over $350/ night, the cost was very high relative to the value of the experience. We decided to leave after one night, cancelling our 5 day reservation and booked elsewhere. To their credit, they eventually refunded our remaining 4 nights with their apologies. Guests should be made aware that the road, 1A, may not be well ploughed.

Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Room was impeccable condition, with lots of attention to detail and everything to make the stay enjoyable and complete. Fresh ground coffee for morning brew was an excellent additional touch.

The property is beautiful. I had a suite that was part of a larger building. The room was listed as having a fireplace but by north american definition, it did not. There is a gas insert that behaves as a furnace. Once the room reaches a certain temperature (set on the thermostat) the fireplace turns off. The only way I was able to keep the fireplace on as you would have in an evening or after a day of skiing would be to leave the patio door wide open. This created a pockets of cold air in the room as it was -30 outside. The fireplace also did not have a flame. Maintenance came on the second day and adjusted the settings so that it was visible. Raj at the front desk was unhelpful, unkind and unable to understand the difference between a fireplace and a furnace. I understand that other units have wood burning fireplaces so if you keep adding wood, you'll get a fire!
