On Beach Time is a 840 square foot mid-century beach cottage that sleeps 4. Nestled at the top of a hill, among the wind swept pines it offers a peek of a view at the ocean. Just walk 1.5 blocks and you'll be dipping your toes in the sand and surf. This home is enchanting with vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, paneling and rough hewn cedar walls, it has fun original doors and great architectural details such as the window trim. Built in 1956 it's one of the few surviving beach cottages from the era and one of the oldest homes in the area. Most of Heceta Beach area was built in the late sixties and early seventies.

The living room, kitchen & dining room are all one large room so no-one is going to miss anything while they're cooking, watching TV or playing a game. The electric fireplace adds ambiance in the evenings or on chilly days. The 8x20 wind protected deck is completely fenced with a gate so your furry friend can hang outside or inside. The owners Cairn Terrier loves it! The deck is conveniently located right off the kitchen, making it a perfect place to enjoy the morning and early afternoon sun. There is a picnic table for your outside dining pleasure.

This is technically a 1 bedroom, as there is only 1 closet, but there are 2 separate rooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second room has a king size bed.

You'll find a full size washer in dryer in the laundry room and a shower-bathtub combo in the bathroom.

Clean Comfy Cottage
This cottage is clean and comfortable! Everything we needed was there in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. This is a classic 1950's beach cottage and we loved it. The property management let us check in early, Leslie was super nice and very professional. We will visit again!

Wonderful relaxing getaway
Everything about our stay went great! It was easy to locate, and clean and nice when we got there. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for us and our fur baby. We enjoyed being close to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. Would definitely stay again.

It would of been nice without the smell.
As soon as you walked in, you could smell the damp musty/mildew. I had a hard time breathing and had to wear a mask so I could sleep in the bedroom. I get there by the ocean but really should not have carpeting without a proper dehumidifier.

Perfect location!
We had a great stay at this home. The owner put a lot of thought into making it a comfortable and cozy place for guests. Everything was very clean and having the washer/dryer included was very convenient. We were able to bring our golden retriever and I think he just had the best time ever with the proximity to the beach and nearby hiking trails. I would definitely recommend this vrbo.

Excellent beach house
We loved staying in this cozy home. Leslie was excellent at commmunicating with me, and helped replace the broken coffee pot immediately. It's just a 5 minute walk to the beach and the little view of the ocean was just enough to feel like you're right on the beach. We also appreciated the beach toys for my toddler. It's a very well thought out rental and one that I would visit again.

Great place!
The house was perfect for two couples. The decor is tastefully done. It was stocked with everything needed and more…books, games, first aid kit. The kitchen included enough dishes, utensils, drink ware and cookware options. The location was perfect for walking to the beach or a quick drive to Florence. We visited Thor’s Well and Heceta lighthouse. We hope to return when we visit the area again.

Super comfortable king size bed; quiet stay, but you need to enjoy the sound of roosters and chickens from next door; its something to consider. The nice neighbor did offer us fresh eggs anytime! Taking garbage out is a bit difficult and not easy for seniors and the brick walkway can be dangerous; lots of bricks raised up. Nice and close to beach. We had a nice rest

Just loved this home! Comfortable. Clean. Loved the decor! Washer and dryer which is a plus when traveling. Only one thing: there are roosters next door so bring your earplugs! Lol.

This property was close to the beach for walking access. The house was clean and well stocked. I enjoyed the keyed entry, no key to remember or loose. The wifi was a huge plus for phone and computer access. We definitely recommend this rental. We had originally planned on sharing the rental with another couple. Unfortunately they had to back out at the last minute. Had they been able to come the house would have been big enough to comfortably fit us both.

Eddie's Beach Vacation
I have just had a girl's vacation at this great little house with a friend and Eddie the dog. The house is located on a quiet road with close and easy access to the beach. This was perfect for morning and evening dog walks, beach combing and just lazing on the beach listening to the waves. The gated deck was perfect for Eddie to laze outside and sun himself. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing picnics or eating in. "Alexa" was very addictive and had all the answers about tides, sunsets, weather and any other silly question you could think of asking, a great addition to a rental property when you do not know the area. There was also a very informative binder at the house with local interests, places to visit, places to eat, activities and information on how to reach the property manager if needed. The house is located close to the highway or Rhododendron Road which takes you the scenic route into the old town of Florence. I would suggest if you are going to visit more than one State Park you should pick up a multi use pass as each visit is $5 and a 5 day pass is $10. You can get a pass on line before you go and print it off, or we picked one up at Devils Churn near Yachats. We also rented ATV's from Torex Rentals to go on the sand dunes. They are located just over the bridge towards South Jetty and have access directly onto the dunes. There are other companies that are not located on the dunes and it seemed more of a hassle to rent and get to the dunes. There was nothing that I needed to go and get or wished I had brought with me. There are even some beach toys if you have kids or you are a big kid.
