"We enjoyed our stay. We were forewarned about ongoing construction updates on the property but found there is also construction happening on the street and right next to the property as well. The room does heat up too much at night and we were unable to control the temperature setting. Other than that, the hotel is located in a very convenient area. Walkable to all area restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly. We would consider staying here again after the construction is complete."

"Staff were welcoming and our updated Mountain View room was very clean. The property itself is dated but well kept and clean. The elevator seems to stop randomly on the 2nd floor when I only called for 3rd. This happened several times. Otherwise the elevator works perfectly fine. Parking maximum height is limited to 6’ 6” so be mindful of any rooftop boxes/carriers on your vehicle. We were able to park in the sole uncovered spot on the property. They offered us to park next door at their sister property or on the street behind the hotel. Bus stop is 2 min walk away and 12 min walk to major shopping strip. All in all a great experience. "

"We spent 5 nights at this lodge. It performed its function as a pleasant stay with good beds and quiet nights. Everything was clean and in good order. Pros included having a bus stop right in front and free bus passes at the front desk. There is a restaurant which has reasonable food at typical hotel prices. You need to make reservations for both breakfast and dinner, but they'll take walk-ins. There are no ameneties or activities other than a hot tub. No snack bar or store with snacks or traveling items so you'll need to bring your own. No playground for kids either. But if you are in Banff and need a place to sleep this lodge will do fine. Pro tip: If in need of snacks, etc there is a Co-Op Gas Bar with an excellent convenience store (and A&W) attached. Avoid the long walk by taking stairs that are 150m west of the lodge on Tunnel Mountain Road. At the end of the stairs turn right and 20m away is another set of stairs which will take you to Marmot St which leads to Banff Ave."

Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge

"Clean room, nice linens, comfortable bed, and spacious. It looks a little worn from the outside, but the rooms are nice. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice area to eat on picnic table and/or barbecue. Staff is friendly and goes out of there to be accommodating. Laundry on site. I was there a total of 6 nights on 2 stays and never heard any noise from other guests or adjoining rooms. Good soundproofing."

"This little cabin had everything my husband and I needed for a comfortable stay. We made breakfast every morning using the cook top, toaster and microwave. The cabin came with skillet and cooking utensils as well as plates, glasses and silverware. We kept things cold in the min frig. We prepared a picnic lunch in the cabin and enjoyed eating out every night in Canmore (which I prefer over Banff). Our bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was tiny but had plenty of hot water for nice relaxing shower. The cabin was in a great location off Canada 1 between Canmore and Banff. Overall great experience."

"The hotel and grounds are maintained beautifully. We enjoyed the beautiful patio lined with gorgeous flowers at the back of the hotel and the heated pool. The Italian restaurant Castillo is great as well. Our dinner was amazing. The old grandeur of the interior design is quite impressive. We loved our stay there."
