Unwind in the Balinese countryside during a stay in the exclusive Elephant Safari Lodge. You’ll be surrounded by tropical gardens, the lush Indonesian landscape and wandering elephants. The lodge is set within the multi-award-winning Elephant Safari Park in the 4,000-year-old Hindu village of Taro. Many famous people have visited here, including Julia Roberts, David Beckham and Christian Slater.
Enjoy the tropical parklands surrounding the lodge, cool down in the pool, or get a massage in the Safari Wellness Spa. There is a fully equipped gym to keep your fitness up, and at the end of the day, dine on the terrace and watch elephants as they graze in the nearby parkland.
The main attraction at the lodge is the chance to get up-close and personal with one of the world’s most endangered species of elephant, the Sumatran elephant. Watch them nurse, play and bathe with their young. For more intimate interactions with these highly intelligent and emotional creatures, join them at feed time, or climb up onto their back for an unforgettable amble through the park.
For more adventures, kayak or whitewater raft through pristine rain forest, mountain bike through local valleys, explore ancient temples, and marvel at the famous Tegallalang rice terraces.
The lodge offers a number of luxury accommodation options with private balconies overlooking the gardens. There is also the exclusive Taro Suite, with stunning views of the park, a private butler, a full terrace and a jacuzzi from which you can enjoy stunning views.
Elephant Safari Park Lodge is located in Tegallalang, 20 minutes’ drive north of Ubud and 75 minutes north of Ngurah Rai Airport. Airport transfers are included in your accommodation and there is a daily shuttle bus service to Ubud.
