"We just wrapped up a week at The Royal Atlantis, and honestly, it fell way short of what you would expect for the crazy prices they charge. I am calling this place Shake Down Island because it felt like they were nickel and diming us at every turn.The staff was unbelievably rude the whole time. For that kind of money, you would probably be better off with a private rental or villa instead. At least you would avoid the poor service. Accessibility was a total nightmare, especially with a stroller (and I cannot imagine how tough it would be for anyone in a wheelchair). The elevators were constantly broken or unreliable, so we ended up carrying the stroller up multiple flights of stairs way too many times. You would think a so called family friendly resort would make that a top priority, but nope. Housekeeping was another letdown. In seven nights, they only cleaned our room once and that was only after I called down to request it. Daily cleaning should be automatic at these rates. The food quality was nowhere near worth the price they were charging, either. Just overpriced and underwhelming. Oh, and when we checked out, I spotted $120 a day charged for a room upgrade we never asked for or got. Luckily I caught it and got it fixed before leaving. Make sure you review those bills carefully before you depart! Overall, the place has potential, but these issues really soured the experience. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning a trip."

"Room was clean, but still dated there was no wow factor and we had an upgraded room, but the pool area was nice along with amazing bar, staff, and great food options every single day. The beach access was also amazing and def worth the stay. Also, a good walking area if you enjoy getting out."

"We enjoyed our first visit to Atlantis Coral and had a wonderful overall experience. The staff and local people were very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room had a spectacular water view that truly made the trip feel special. There were, however, a few areas that could use improvement. The room door was extremely stiff and difficult to both open and close, which was frustrating at times. Additionally, the in-room dining experience was disappointing, as the food quality did not meet expectations. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the beautiful surroundings and hospitality."

"If you like crowds and it being loud all the time, this is for you. Great for young travelers! Also, there was construction going on, on the front of the building every day I was there. June 4-11 2026 They were my morning alarm clock. Best staff anywhere!"
