Located 13 miles north of the Denali National Park entrance and only 2 miles from the grocery store, local restaurants, bank and gas stations. Come home to the peaceful cabin after a long day in the park and relax on the spacious deck while listening to the birds or soaking in the mountain views. The kitchen has all of the necessary items to cook up a home-cooked meal and is fully furnished with a stove, microwave, toaster and full size refrigerator. A BBQ grill is also available if you prefer to grill outside on the deck. The cabin is small (600sq ft) but well laid out for a family. With a queen bedroom, a set of bunk beds and a sofa sleeper that can accommodate 5-6 people. Clean, newly renovated bathroom includes rain shower head, new vanity with large mirror. Amenities include fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans and dishes, microwave, coffee maker & filters, oven, refrigerator, propane grill, and streaming WiFi. Depending on the time of year you visit, don't be surprised if you wake to a moose and her calf in the yard. Being at The Nest beginning the 3rd of September for a week was perfect. The landscape was ablaze with fall colors, and the tops of the mountains began to be covered in snow. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals and there is a large, updated bathroom. Plenty of hot water - though we tried to use resources wisely. Easy to locate with "nest" and flowers at driveway - make sure you follow directions from host. Close driving distance to local grocery store/gas and a few restaurants. It is super adorable and looks just like the pictures. It is about 15 minutes from Deanli National Park and along the way you pass a small shopping area with gift shops, restaurants and adventure companies. It is also only 5 minutes from the grocery store, gas station, laundry facilities and 49th State Brewing which we ate at often because the food was awesome. During out stay, we hiked multiple trails, ziplined, whitewater rafted, etc. but we also enjoyed our time at the cabin, walking around the cabin, hanging out at Otto Lake (which is amazingly beautiful). This cabin was the perfect spot for all our adventures and I would definitely stay here again if I ever have the opportunity to visit Healy again. ##### Krista B.
