Staff did not clean room or give clean towels but once in the 3 days of our stay

This hotel is perfectly located off Bourbon St. The staff was very helpful especially Eric. Our stay was enjoyable. I would definitely say there again.

We stayed at The Barnett this past weekend for our Anniversary staycation also during Essence Fest weekend in the city. We chose this hotel as it is within walking distance to Bearcat, Rouses, CVS and the Superdome. The bellman greeted us and assisted with getting our luggage out of the car, and called for the valet to park our car. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel, but we used the hotel valet ($50 per day). The front desk associate was friendly, checked us in quickly and we were in the room within 10 minutes of arriving. We reserved a room with a private balcony, but were placed in a room with the shared balcony. Although there were blinds I was not a fan of just anyone walking past our room. The room was spacious and decorated in a cute retro vibe. The walls are thin. You will hear your neighbors and will definitely hear any music playing. The pool is a vibe! Relaxing lounge chairs with shade and mist fans. The pool cook, Bliss, made delicious wings. We will be back for a pool day soon! There were a few cons: We could not find the ice machine on our floor The phone did not work in our room Low water pressure in the sink

The hotel was classic “rustic” New Orleans and rooms were clean and nice. The courtyard was beautiful and the staff was friendly, especially the front desk. My only complaint is that they didn’t have room for me to park at the hotel itself and had to park at another hotel that was 3 blocks. The location of the hotel is perfect for all the area locations along Bourbon street. Bring a fan though… weather is hot and humid!
