I love Camp Comfort. It is in such a charming town, and with its proximity to the creek is very relaxing and nice. My unit was somewhat dirty when I arrived and housekeeping is really only available on request. That is my only challenge. Thanks Camp Comfort.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms, with other family members renting the adjacent rental house with pool, Bambi trailer and another small bunkhouse. Our room was clean and attractive and the bed very comfortable but so much about the unit was Insta cute without being especially useful, particularly the built in bedside tables and the micro-table between two chairs that could barely accommodate 2 coffee cups. The property - the creek is lovely, I knew in summer it would not be flowing but the bald cypresses are gorgeous. The hillside is very steep so not really good for older people. Likewise the bathtub. The hotel fronts onto a gravel covered courtyard that was brutally hot. The other property used by our party had a nice kitchen but outside decking that is old, splintery with rotted out supports. The "pool" was interesting, about 4' x 8' but quite deep, small kids will need close supervision and older adults will need assistance getting out of it. The larger round pool is at a different property altogether that is a few minutes drive away.

The room is very cute & looks exactly as pictured. We had a small issue with water pressure in the shower but it was still adequate. The whole Camp is adorable.

We rented the airstream for 2 days, but when we got there the a/c was not on. The staff put us in a cabin with a view, it was quiet and cozy. I think we were the only ones there for 2 days. The river was dry, no water but the hammock was nice and having the ice machine on premises was very handy. Would love to come back and the restaurants in town were very good.

This is a “bed and NO breakfast” even though I’m sure it was advertised as a B&B. The swimming pool is not on site. You must drive to a separate hotel. (Not advertised as such, and most inconvenient). Furthermore, the automatic door locks malfunctioned leaving us outdoors for some time as the mosquitoes feasted on us. Then the ice machine failed. Luckily the caretaker bought some ice to save the day. On a positive note, the room was nice and clean. The AC worked flawlessly. We decided to just go home after one night of our 2 night stay. We figured we shouldn’t push our luck any further.

We arrived at 915pm and looked for the Spartan room, as noted in the receipt. Walking around the area, we saw only numbers for each room. No names. We asked another guest if they knew. We went to the small airstream, not seeing the words SPARTAN. We looked at our first reservation, and noticed we were in the other mobile home , not a word about Spartan. We went inside and the air conditioning was blowing hot air. We went back to Bambi (Bambi was on the gate but not Spartan) number 10. I told my wife we are staying in this one tonight and requesting a refund.

Camp Comfort is the perfect blend of rustic and elegance! Every need was anticipated from lighting to leisure reading novels to comfortable bedding to toiletries to linens to spaciousness. We highly recommend this site to anyone wanting a frontier, small-town atmosphere.

Beautiful setting along the riverbank. Tranquil area. Love the fire pits, party lights and atmosphere. Great location at the edge of some amazing motorcycle roads. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. Comfortable beds with great linens, good shower pressure and very spacious room. We will be back. Thank you!

Great find!! Souther hospitality at its best.
So.. I actually stayed at the Meyer Hotel.. the system to the camp, wow! What a great peaceful place to lend.. walk or bike to everything and it’s just an adorable old e to visit.. as Bianca says.. it’s southern hospitality. The camp is more rustic so I opted for a cushier place to stay at the Meyer.. tons of charm!

Cute little house with a dangerous ladder
The room was very clean and newly renovated. I do have to say however that the description of our room was misleading. It says that the room has 1 king bed and 2 twin beds. What the description fails to mention is that the twin beds are in an attic with a very low ceiling (you can't stand up straight) and to go up to the attic you need to climb a wooden ladder which I found was quite dangerous. I wouldn't feel safe having a child younger than 13 o 14 using that ladder or anyone over 40-45.
