Beautiful oceanfront home with sweeping views, multiple decks, and pet friendly

Pelican's Perch - Oregon Beach Vacations

Stunning ocean front home located just north of the village of Neskowin. Perched above the Pacific with sweeping views and perfect sunsets, Pelican’s Perch is one of a kind. Designed for maximum guest privacy with the primary bedroom located on the lower floor, and guest bedroom located on the main floor. Entering the front door, you instantly get that calm relaxed feeling of the view in front of you. Follow the hallway into the main living area where you will find the dining room, kitchen, living room and guest bedroom. Head downstairs to your own private suite with floor to ceiling windows that frame the Pacific. Upstairs on the third floor is the family room perfect for watching movies with the group. Pelican’s Perch is also very pet friendly with a small fenced yard. Beach access is 4 house's to the North of the home the path is marked with a sign showing beach access down a steep cliff with a rope to scale the rocks. We do not recommend accessing the beach from this neighborhood. Neskowin is a short drive to the south where you can find easy beach access accessible to all guests.

The owners have taken great pride in this home, and it shows. We classify this home as luxury and once you enter you will clearly understand why. Look no further, you have found the best value for the home on the Oregon Coast. If we didn’t have to work, we would rent Pelican’s Perch and spend the day watching the ocean.

Dog Friendly for up to 2 dogs, no other pets allowed. Please do not leave dogs unattended at any time in or on the property.

AMAZING VIEW!
Nice and updated beach house in the interior! Love the view of the ocean and each section of the house. The three level of the home gave my kids so much room to roam around and play during their spring break. Downside: Our check in time was at 4pm, and we didn't get to check in until 6:30pm.

Beautiful beachfront home with unparalleled view of the ocean.
Overall, this was a wonderful home. The view out of the panoramic windows in the living room of the ocean below, is spectacular. The multilevel deck is perfect for sunsets, eating breakfast overlooking the waves, and building a fire in the fit pit. The master bedroom downstairs is somewhat dated as is the bathroom there. The updated upstairs bathroom is a true "master bath" with beautiful tile, granite counters a separate soaking tub, and an amazing shower with multiple shower heads overhead, and on the walls. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. Oven, stove, microwave fridge of course. But also toasters, countertop oven and grills, drip AND Keurig coffee makers, and all the pots, pans, dishes containers you could dream of. The home is pretty remote. You actually have to use dirt/gravel roads for the final mile or so to get to it. You really are "in the middle of nowhere" there. That can be a good thing of course! But the closest to any "city" would be Lincoln City about 15-20 miles to the south. Small town. Nice shops, restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, and groceries. Getting to the beach below is impossible from the back of the house itself. If you walk north on the street about 100 yards there is a tunnel like path that descends down to very large and very slippery rocks and at this point you are still a good 30-40 feet up. There is a rope to hold on to while you scramble down these but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are in good shape and brave. You can access the beach by car via roads (more gravel and some paved) at Winema beach. This is about a 2 mile drive. Parking there is limited however. Two small issues. The house does not have AC. We were fine without it but the description of the house should probably mention this. Also, the house is shown with a large garage. You would assume from this that you have use of it but the owners do not grant this as it was locked up. Again, this should be mentioned in the description. Overall we loved our stay at Pelican's Perch and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Stunning views
We had the best family vacation at this beautiful home. The home has a quirky but very spacious layout and our whole family was able to spread out and have our own spaces to unwind. The outdoor decks were our favorite part of the home. There are multiple levels and private seating areas on all sides of the home. The fire pit was enjoyed every single night while enjoying the late sunsets. The newly remodeled bathroom in the second bedroom was very nice and the whole family ended up taking turns showering in that room. We noticed the shower by the bunk bed area had no hot water after waiting 20 minutes with the water on. The shower/bathroom in the master is extremely small and outdated and we really only used it for the toilet. So the remodeled bathroom had a lot of traffic! As far as the beach access, I’m afraid that we were a bit disappointed although the listing is very clear so we were aware going into it that it may be a problem. We thought it couldn’t be that bad…we are all active. Well the first part of the trail is just beautiful, it is decorated with buoys and has peekaboo views of the water. Then all of a sudden it spits you out onto a straight cliff with a very narrow footpath that leads to slippery rocks that you scale down with a rope. And if it’s high tide, the waves are crashing and churning right under you. The rocks are covered in slick green moss. It it extremely dangerous! We did make it down once with our kids at low tide when the water wasn’t near the rocks and even then it was scary! So if you go at low tide on a sunny dry day it may be much easier. However, you can drive down the hill in the neighborhood to the beach and it takes 5 minutes. The beach is beautiful and we had it to ourselves most of the time. I just wanted to provide clarification on the beach access as I know it can be a factor in deciding. Even though we were a bit disappointed, we loved the house and neighborhood so much it wasn’t an issue. The neighborhood is filled with deer and wildflowers and we loved peaceful evening walks listening to the waves. The very few negatives in this home are far outweighed by the positive. We hope to return someday to this little slice of heaven!

Lovely dog friendly home
Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. It is nearly impossible to find a house of this caliber that is dog friendly, and this one surpassed our expectations by miles! Thank you for sharing you home with us. We are already planning our return visit!

Great stay!!
Great home, breath taking views, everything you need was here! I would encourage a little better cleaning, mainly in the hanging out area(probably least important area) and a shorter grass might encourage others to pick up pet poop. I picked up a quite a few that was left over.

A Peaceful Retreat
Stunning views, spacious inside and out, peaceful and quiet, clean, comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. This was a lovely few days to just unwind and take in the serenity of the Oregon Coast. We even got great weather. A small and quiet neighborhood far from high travelled roads or highways yet close enough to towns for stores and restaurants. Perched upon a bluff overlooking the ocean with multiple decks and a fire pit. The Master is alone on the bottom floor with gorgeous views, a comfortable bed, and if you pop the window open at night no need for a “white noise” machine, you get the real thing with the ocean waves below. The top floor is a large out of the way entertainment area which was great for our 2 teenage boys equipped with super comfy reclining couches, a TV, tons of movies, a bathroom, and mini fridge for their endless appetites. The main floor has bunk beds in a back area, and another bedroom with an awesome soaker tub and shower which was great for my in-laws. We couldn’t get this TV to work but we didn’t really need it either. The kitchen has a ton of appliances including a coffee maker and Keurig (which I would’ve liked to have known about), and plenty of dishes. The living area has comfy couches and even a side room with a cozy window seat, all with views. The home is dog friendly, even supplies food and water bowl. This is the first home on the Oregon Coast I’ve rented that didn’t smell old, or musty, or of the beach, or of dogs. It was fresh, clean, supplied with dish/washer detergent, dish/hand soap, and plenty of towels. The only negative was the beach access. It says there is a trail that leads to rocks which have a rope to help you down. We couldn’t get our dog down this way and she is small, or carry anything because you need your hands. The rocks were super slippery from being wet and covered with green slimy stuff. To be fair, a woman who was trying to get down with her kids said she grew up here and has never seen it slippery like this. My boys managed to get across a different way, but the rest of us were slipping and it was just too dangerous so we had to drive to Neskowin or Pacific City to be on the beach. Absolutely loved this place and hope to rent it again in the future.

Great first experience in Neskowin
Great house with a gorgeous view. There are several ways to get to the beach. We really enjoyed that little path to get on the rocks overlooking the ocean. You won't be disappointed.
