I believe this hotel is exactly what you pay for. The staff is kind and helpful, they are lenient and quick to try and resolve issues. However, no matter how good the people behind The Waldorf are, it can't change the quality of the hotel itself. It's an old building that still uses keys, placed within a less than ideal neighborhood in which requires the front door always be locked despite only one fob to unlock it. Rooms with multiple guests be prepared for this. The bathroom was missing amenities that are vital for use, such as handsome. Speaking on the bathroom, the tub was dangerous levels of slippery, so be careful when entering and exiting. The venue itself is placed above a bar that hosts loud events, so much so the walls shake. I would say get earplugs but you will feel the music in your bones. Thankfully the music always stops around midnight so plan to stay out late, there are no early mornings at the Waldorf. The staff were, once again, very quick to try and ameliorate our issues with our stay so huge kudos to them. My genuine advice for travelers who want to stay here, expect a less than decent time and you'll make a better stay out of it. This hotel was under renovation in some public places, so it's hard to get a feel for what it might be like in the future, but everything, except the front desk and entrance, was dated and dingy. The flooring in the room looked and felt as though it had recently been replaced, which was nice, but it wasn't carpeted, which was probably less nice for those staying beneath us. The furniture in the room looked like it was at least as old as the building, and much of the varnish was wearing off. There were hardly any outlets, so one of us had to charge our phone on an adjacent wall. The bathroom had no under sink shelving and looked as though it was composed of plywood. The shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot. All of this, and they charged us $380something. no thank you. Never again.

Great location. Nice rooms. Clean and comfortable

Very friendly hosts in a quiet area (very walkable that feela like home), close to lots of restaurants (6-10 minutes driving) definitely a hidden gem.
