"Doug was quick to reply and addressed one minor concern as soon as it was possible, very grateful for his attentiveness. He clearly cares about his property and his guests having a great stay.The chalet was cozy, well maintained, and was well stocked with the basics. Information about local scenery and attractions was readily available, and he mentioned fair points regarding neighbors and what to expect.Doug as a host is 5/5.The listing did not show a precarious set of stairs leading to the loft. For the elderly or obese, it is not possible to climb them, however there are two beds that are more accessible for anyone.My one reservation pertains to cleanliness; many dishes needed recleaning, the shower curtain had an odor, the bbq tools were grimy, and under the couch was not vacuumed. In fairness, this would not bother most people and I gave 4/5 for cleanliness. All other areas like the tables, counters, floors, all acceptably clean.I highly recommend this chalet to folks who are keen on exploring the area, especially in the winter because the fireplace is lovely."

"We had an amazing stay at this property and was what we were looking for: secluded place in the mountains with all the amenities that were listed. We didn’t realize until after we booked that the owners live on the upper floor of the house, but the space was very private and we barely saw or heard the owners or their sweet dogs."

"Pemberton is a beautiful place and the VRBO was a comfortable place to spend a few days. The owners are right there but friendly, respectful and responsive, should you need something. It was a muggy buggy time while we were there but still enjoyed our stay.Only caveat was the really spotty wifi, making it difficult to plan and use your device. Tx Susan"

"Our group of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed their stay in this spacious, comfortable and immaculate home. Whether preparing a meal in the well appointed kitchen, playing pool on the lower level, or enjoying the most amazing view of Mt. Curry from one of the decks (or from practically anywhere in the house) we found this accommodation to be perfect in every way. Pemberton is a lovely, laid back town to visit, and the half hour drive to Whistler was both scenic and invigorating."

"Upon checkin extremely detailed instructions on what to do and what not to do, lots of rules. But omission of explanation of heater adjustment.We were required to fill in a form with all our personal details including credit card details. Supposedly a VRBO requirement that we have never come across before. It left us feeling very uncomfortable, after all, if there are problems you are supposed to go through VRBO and they have all those details already.Fridge did not work at allHair dryer did not work at allHair on bathroom floorBack of bathroom door quite dirty"
