"It's a private island so all visitors are to the resort or to a few private houses nearby. Very restful, 3 good to great meals per day. Breakfast is cooked to order, dinners with a lot of people to serve at once, was occasionally overcooked. Several excursion options, nice pool, kayaks (some with broken seats) ... curious shortage of cushions for chairs -- beach loungers, dining chairs, barstools.. The cabins have shaded porches -- if you want to read early or late you need a screen like a Kindle, or, I guess, a miner's lamp. "We were the last guests here prior to closing due to COVID-19. The staff were great during this difficult time and they stayed open to honor our 1 night reservation. We were en route home to Canada. The staff provided transportation to and from the airport and kept the restaurant running to provide meals. Nice property on the river. The only downside, we got a number of bites while outside in the evening.…""We were the last guests here prior to closing due to COVID-19. "The staff was absolutely terrific! So friendly & helpful; we really enjoyed it. The pool was clean however a bit small & the seating around the pool was kind of uncomfortable - lounge chairs could be better. But we did not spend much time there b/c there was so much construction going on, that it was just too noisy.
