"If you want to be close to the water and beach, hear the waves, enjoy the sunset, this is place to stay on North Captiva! No other place is closer, or has a better view. Big on the Beach is it! Thanks to Bob and Wendy the place was ready for occupancy. They picked us up at the docks, carted our luggage to the house, and gave us a comprehensive orientation of all this spectacular house has to offer. When our week was up, Bob and Wendy were again there to help. Thank you! The house was immaculate and well suited for super large groups like our own. It offered plenty of beds and convenient bathrooms for all of us. And the kitchen is well equipped for fixing large meals or casual snacks for large groups. Much thanks to Bob and Wendy for making this a pleasant family vacation, and to Stephanie (the owner) for sharing her wonderful house and spectacular location with us. We love Big on the Beach!"

"We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home on North Captiva. The island is truly special, and when we return, this will be the first house I check for availability.Our group of 13 made full use of the space — the pool and grill were perfect, and the home was exactly as described. We had a private chef cook dinner each night, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything she needed. The grocery delivery service also worked seamlessly.The property team was attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a fantastic experience — I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"Our stay at this home on North Captiva Island was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The house is beautifully kept, spacious, and perfect for families. We especially loved the rooftop deck it became our favorite spot for sunsets and late-night hangouts. Having our own private pool was such a bonus, and the included golf cart made it easy (and fun) to explore the island.The location was just right: tucked away enough to feel private, but close enough to everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals, and we enjoyed making breakfast together every morning before heading out for the day. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described if not better.What really made this trip unforgettable was how much the house added to the overall experience of North Captiva. It felt like home right away and gave us the perfect place to relax, unplug, and make memories. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique island getaway."

"The island and location were exactly what we needed! Disconnecting was our goal! The communication with the property managers coming into our trip was good. All questions were answered. There was an issue with our “late arrival”. There is no indication in any of the information that stated what a late arrival was considered, but just a mention of a 75 fee for it. We were arriving on the last ferry at 6:30pm and that is considered late. The hours of check in are 4pm-5:30. So be aware of that when you travel. Our groceries were ordered ahead of time and put away for our arrival. That’s totally worth the extra money!!! There are spices there, such as S&P, Pam, but not much else. The living space and bedrooms are great! We were comfortable and had a great visit!The beach chairs, small cooler and umbrella were a great benefit!!The listing for the house showed bikes, kayaks, paddles, and carts for them. There was only 1 kayak, no paddle, no cart, and no bikes. This was actually a draw for us with this property. We had a few issues with the golf cart that is provided. When notifying the property about it, we got no response. Then when it quit working altogether, we were told that there was no one to help us and it’s unfortunate. It had rained and several of the roads were flooded, so we walked barefoot to get places! We will definitely be back to the island, probably not using this property management group. "
