The only complaint was the sofa sleeper bed felt like sleeping on plywood. We bought mattress topper at Walmart so our daughter would survive the remainder of the trip. The pool was nice and clean and had plenty of chairs available. We enjoyed the food court area of the hotel, Harbor Yards, but the restaurants there were very inconsistent with their operating hours. Out of our 4 nights there we only saw the gelato restaurant open once after 7:00pm. Not a lot of these restaurants are open for lunch, and hardly any of them are open for breakfast. The resort is a good concept, but seems like more things need to be open during the day and night if you want people spending money at the resort. We had a rental car so we were able to leave and go explore. There is nothing to do in Port Charlotte, but Punta Gorda has a cute village on the water with shops, restaurants, and sunset cruises. We also drive up to Caspersan Beach for sharks teeth hunting and that was an enjoyable activity. Our vacation was nice, but probably a one and done type place for us.
