Windows on the Water "W.O.W" An ocean front oasis!

"The WOW home is exactly what the pictures show it to be. You cannot ask for a better view or better proximity to the beach. Literally steps to the beach. My family and another (4 adults and 2 12-year-olds) had plenty of space. 2 bedrooms have a king bed and an attached bathroom with shower (very updated and clean), and the kids’ room has the 2 bunk beds and an adorable bathroom in the hallway. The views are just incredible from the living room windows. We saw dolphins one morning, manatees at the dock, and LOTS of wildlife, such as turtles, different types of birds, crabs, and lizards. We loved exploring the island on the golf carts! The Island Club pool was large and super fun for the kids. They also offered delicious food and drinks. The home had every kitchen item you would need to cook a meal, including a variety of spices and seasonings. There was also a game cabinet! Everything in the home felt and looked updated and fresh. The beach has PLENTY of shells to choose from! We brought some beautiful shells home. I would suggest bringing water shoes, especially for young kids, as the shells can be a little sharp as you’re walking down into the water. Wendy was an incredible host. She was so responsive and helpful and answered all of our questions with detail, and she gave us every bit of information we needed to get to the island. WOW’s location cannot be beat. The views are amazing. It looks like you’re floating on top of the water!!"

"The host was great! Answered very quickly and was very helpful! Very lovely homeAnd clean! Had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked!! The pool was a plus. Plenty of storage space. The family area was perfect and the view from the house was gorgeous. Don’t overpack. Literally all you need is swimsuits and cover up. Food on the island was good. Shalleys Seashells was wonderful with our luggage and grocery shopping. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Overall, the stay was excellent. Awesome location on the island, well appointed house, and plenty of room. Couple of issues to mention for the owners/property management team: 1. Be sure to check the pool area (water level, umbrellas and deck/furniture condition). When we arrived, the water level was just below the skimmer (pump motor was not happy) and we needed to add water daily to keep at an appropriate skimmer level. There was a large sun umbrella opened and sitting at the bottom of the pool, and deck furniture and area around the pool needed cleaned. 2. There are 2 Keurig coffee makers...and you have to use BOTH to make your coffee. One machine to puncture the k-cup (machine won't power on) and the other machine to brew the coffee (puncture needle is broken).3. Blender situation...there are 2 base units and 1 upper unit. None of them matched up so no smoothies or mixed drinks.4. Golf carts should be cleaned up before each guest visit. Yes, they get dusty and dirty driving around and especially when it rains but let's start off right. Didn't appreciate having to clean out the previous visitors trash and leftovers. 5. Proximity to beach was awesome i.e. private pathway and area. Definitely needs to be trimmed/cleared/maintained better.6. Should mention the house is under repair/improvements - building materials, workers items and some trash laying about.The Owners and Support Team communicate excellently and the logistics out/back were seamless - 5 Stars!"

"We had an outstanding trip to Peter’s Beach House this past June. The house was very clean and check-in was a breeze. It’s recently remodeled and has everything you could want for a family of 4-5. The beach front is just a few steps away and perfect for small children - minimal waves, plenty of sea shells to grab, and even the ability to fish right off the beach. Toys, chairs, and everything else you might need was provided. Shallys Property Management does a phenomenal job making sure groceries and everything else are ready to go. We absolutely look to see if this is available for future trips and would stay again."

"We were incredibly comfortable at this well-appointed property. No detail has been overlooked, this is one of the nicest short-term rentals we've stayed. We traveled as a larger group; my siblings rented another property a few doors down and Barefoot Hideaway was far superior. The beds are comfortable, it's clean and updated, the location is quiet and convenient. We would absolutely rent this property again."

"Big on the Beach is an absolutely beautiful home! It would be very difficult to find a property closer to the water than this one. Bob & Wendy were so thorough helping me in every way as I prepared for our family of 12 to enjoy a week on North Captiva. The upstairs A/C was struggling a bit with the heat, but they had moved a temporary unit in that definitely helped and we certainly appreciated it! Overall, a wonderful week that we’ll cherish always!"
