"This was my first time staying at a “reading hotel” and I absolutely loved it! I loved the idea of wearing slippers around the hotel to give me that feeling as if I was home. I loved the view from the hotel especially sitting outside to breathe in the refreshing air. Being from an urban city, it was my first time seeing cattle, lambs and roosters that would cross the roads, the view from up top on a bright summer morning, and view of the picturesque mountains. The staff was very kind and helped me with any questions I had. I highly recommend this place to anyone hoping to stay near Hallstatt as it was only 20 mins away."

The staff all went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from helping us understand the extensive (complementary) sauna options to serving the most delicious (complementary) breakfast. "This hotel is so wonderful that I actually didn’t want to rate it - yes! I wanted to keep this hidden gem a secret for myself! Unbelievably gorgeous location, gracious, helpful staff, excellent restaurant and breakfast, quiet, and comfortable. What more could anyone want? I wish I could buy the property but keep the entire staff. There is not one single thing that I can say that would improve this hotel. It is that perfect. By the way, if you’re staying in the area, drive over to St. Wolfgang and take the gondola ride to the top of the mountain. This was suggested by the hotel staff and the view is amazing - well worth it."

"I adore Salzburg and the Salzkammergut Lakes region of Austria and this is my go to hotel whenever I'm in the area. Very friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet in the mornings and some excellent evening meals in the restaurant. It's approx 25 minutes to Salzburg by car, the lakes of Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Mondsee and Hintersee are all less than half an hour away and don't miss Plötz Wasserfall which is a mile and a half from the hotel. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"Absolutely wonderful Christmas stay ✨ Cannot fault this hotel at all. We had such a lovely stay over Christmas. I was reluctant to book at first as the hotel is not in the centre of Salzburg and a lot of the reviews are from a long time ago, but it was the best decision! The hotel is in the middle of wonderful countryside, it’s so nice to be able to explore the city and then stay in this lovely little picturesque town. It’s so easy to get to, just hop on bus 150 to/from Salzburg and it takes about 20 mins. The buses are super regular (even on Xmas day!), cheap and really comfortable. The hotel is in superb condition, recently renovated by the looks of it and the decor is perfect. Our room was well furnished, super clean and we had a large balcony with a view of the mountains/lake. Breakfast is included and was top quality. We also went to the hotel bar on Christmas Eve which was lovely and the drinks were spot on. We didn’t use the pool/spa as unfortunately didn’t have time but had a nosey and it looked wonderful. All staff members were super friendly and if you get time to explore the surroundings you won’t forget it, they’re stunning. I honestly have no complaints about this hotel and encourage everyone to visit! I loved Salzburg but I’d come back just to stay here."
