"My stay here was a bit of a mixed bag. The front desk clerk was so friendly. I checked in late and everything was closed in town, he was kind enough to offer to share his dinner with me. The rooms were really clean, the housekeeping staff are doing a great job. The problem here was the hotel itself, it's really in bad state of disrepair. Simple things like a fresh coat of paint in the elevator would have made a huge difference. The furniture in the rooms is oddly mismatched. The TV in my room was on a really low coffee table making it difficult to see when in the bed. The bathroom was very dated, with the exception of the flooring which looks like it was recently replaced. The bed was ok and I slept well, so between that and the great staff, it turned what could have been a disaster into an ok stay."

"We were in the newly renovated room facing the lake. It was awesome! I quickly regretted booking for just 1 night. It has a $150 deposit and $15 parking fee per night."

"The point of this place is obviously the hot spring pools, which are wonderful. And the staff is great. The resort itself is run-down from heavy use and needs a good cleaning and a major refresh. It's a historic building, yes, but it does need to be kept up. For the price I paid, I'd like a mattress that isn't hard and old."

"The staff was great, very helpful, and the hotel feels nice and new. Everything was clean. The shower was great and the bed was comfy, although a little soft for personal preference. Everything was great, just some little things that were a little lame. The TV was stuck on store demo mode. We only had it for background noise in the morning, so not a big deal, but strange. The fridge didn't seem to get very cold, and it made a shrill hum whenever the motor kicked in. We eventually just turned it off and that fixed things, but still a little weird. The AC also seemed overly noisy at times, but not the end of the world. Finally, needing to sign up for their points program to get wifi was annoying, especially for kind of slow wifi. The faster paid tier didn't seem much faster either. All the important stuff was great, and I'm sure the staff would have fixed any of the minor annoyances if we had asked as well. They just weren't quite annoying enough to bother."
