"clean and convinient hotel"
We were in a family suites on 24th floor. It was very clean, roomy with a nice city view. This hotel has lots of advantages. We can take the Tokyo monorail from the hotel lobby without going outside. Seven eleven is also directly connected with the hotel lobby. In my personal opinion, the only downside was the pillow. However, it is a subjective issue. I thought the pillow was uncomfortable, but my family liked it.

"No frills budget hotel"
The hotel is a basic hotel equivalent to a Travelodge in the UK. It is no frills so do not accept any additional facilities such as a gym, swimming pool etc. The rooms and room facilities were also quite basic but fine if you are on a budget and intend to be out all day anyway. The breakfast menu was a bit disappointing. Although there was plenty of food, that catered for primarily the Japanese clients there were some western menu choices although they were a bit bizarre (chips, meatballs, roasted chicken pieces) for breakfast. The service however was efficient and the dining area was busy but large enough to cope. You are given breakfast tickets on check in and these are presented each morning to the breakfast staff. Apart from one member, the reception staff had basic English but were very helpful and polite (despite reviews to the contrary that I read from other guests). Check in and out was handled quickly and efficiently. The hotel has a free shuttle bus that has scheduled visits to Haneda Airport (only 30 mins away) which is very useful. The best thing about the hotel is its very convenient location near to a JR railway station which is on the line to Tokyo central station (about 15 minutes away) so a great base if you hold a JR pass and want to connect to the Shinkansen.

"Great hotel in Tokyo"
We are tourist and only spend three overnights in Tokyo. We like this hotel. Room is much bigger than other Japanese hotels. Massage chair in room is awesome after long day walk. Location is great. Subway is downstairs; supermarket & shopping center is next door. We like Japanese seafood. Gen-Chan (筑地食堂“源”)is very good and in walking distance.

"Tiny but quiet room, nice breakfast"
Within 5min walk from Oimachi station but so quiet at night. Rooms are tiny for westerners but clean and comfortable. Japanese buffet style breakfast is very nice.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Shinagawa 3 stars Hotels

Historically the district where feudal lords lived during the Tokugawa Shogunate, this area is now home to many global businesses, including Sony headquarters. It also holds Sengaku-ji Temple, the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, and the city’s second-largest train station. West of the station is Takanawa, an upscale residential neighborhood.
