Not close to the beach and with a very high climb back to the hotel. Roads outside the hotel were terrible with potholes everywhere. "

"I would have given them a 5 star but the thing that really irked me is that initially when I asked about using their laundry, they told me that people used the bathroom sink (it is very large) and then used those hanger wires in the shower to dry. So, I did that but when I went to pull out the wires they both were broken, so I had a bunch of wet laundry ! "My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! The resort is absolutely beautiful and our room and views were stunning! We saw so many animals just sitting on our balcony. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was great at both of their restaurants. It’s a very short driving distance from Manuel Antonio National Park and they offer shuttle service to and from the park and the beach. We will definitely be back!"

"The staff was very kind and accommodating the room was very nice and very big the shower was amazing we loved our balcony Overlooking the pool and seeing the scarlet macaws in the trees every morning 1 day there was a sloth on the property and the resonant cat was very sweet highly recommend this hotel very close and convenient to everything but a little bit off the beaten path"

"Very quant small boutique accommodation in a secluded area of Quopes about 30 minute drive away. Right on a beautiful beach which black sand. More of a location for decompresion than chocked full of activities. Miles of beach to walk on, especially good at low tide where a 100 yards of the beach is exposed. Owner is fabulous, help me set up day trips. Have to drive down a dirt road 3 miles to get to the resort. Again, isolated area."

"Everything about this hotel is phenomenal. Starts at booking, check in, the staff is Excellent, attentive, friendly. Will is the best , in the restaurant area. He is kind, funny , professional, and an all around asset to the hotel. All of the restaurant staff was amazingly kind The reception guys were very helpful with information, getting our bags to and from the car, and everyone was in charge of keeping the kittys safe from the monkeys . Had the best time and we will return. Pura vida "

"It's a very nice location. A bit dated but has everything you need. Nice quiet cabanas that are clean and really decent sized. Pool area needs some upgrades. The 2 !!! sunning lounge chairs need to be junked. The restaurant and bar are very nice, and food is great. Breakfasts are top notch. Biggest complaint is the beds. Rock hard. Had terrible time sleeping. Couldn't wait to get home to my bed. We've stayed her two times this year and because of the beds it will be our last. "
