It was like paradise! The staff were super friendly and super helpful. The pool and the beach and the restaurant were all amazing. The rooms were great. We had booked a room up the hill and were offered an upgrade when we got there for a reasonable fee and we were so glad we made the change. For our first visit to Costa Rica, we chose to stop in Manuel Antonio, and we couldn't have picked a better spot! Being right across from the beach was incredibly convenient, even with the busy street. The real highlight was our room at the top of the hill – the view was simply spectacular! Just a heads-up, the climb is no joke, so definitely pack light. Restaurant had good menu options and the staff was super nice. The bungalows situated on the hill offer a stunning view; however, the climb to the top can be inconvenient if you have to do it multiple times a day. To reach the beach or the restaurant where breakfast is served, you must cross a street with fast-moving cars. There is no clearly marked crosswalk, making it quite dangerous. The WiFi and AC worked perfectly my entire stay, I put some insect repellant below my door or a beach towel which prevented too many uninvited guests in the evenings, there was some construction happening during the day but I imagine most people would be out and about during the day anyway, the staff were friendly and helpful, and if you have an early tour booked, they let you grab a to go box for the included breakfast which worked great for me :).
