The staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was so nice to stay at an adults only place! I think the property has only 12 rooms so it feels intimate. Therefore, it's quiet without tons of people. We swam in the pool every day. Breakfast is included. Dennys and his team were very friendly, helpful and approachable. We had booked a superior villa, but on arrival we were informed that that room was not available due to essential maintenance, so were given two villas, which suited us and our adult daughter better, giving us all more space to relax. Each villa had a great balcony with comfortable seating and a hammock, great for chilling out at the end of the day. The villas have a great sea view with lovely well tended gardens. We are visited by capachins, squirrel monkeys, and there were even what felt like resident Scarlet Macaws, perching in a dead palm tree by the pool. Sadly no sloths, I guess because of the sound of the maintenance work ongoing (as we stayed before peak season). The pool was very clean and nice to have a gentle swim after a long day sightseeing. The breakfast was basic, but very tasty and prepared fresh for you each morning. We had a very relaxing stay, and would highly recommend Villas Nicolas. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast each morning was a lovely , and the grounds and pool were exceptional. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, the beach (20 min), and even Manuel Antonio NP if you're up for a little hike. Public transit runs regularly and is inexpensive to get to around the area. Lovely stay!
