Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The first night I stayed in a standard single room on the front side of the hotel. Very small but clean. Unfortunately, I could hear the street traffic all night. I moved to a deluxe double for my next two nights. Much bigger and it had a bathtub. Very good AC. The deluxe doubles are on the side away from the street and are very quiet. The beds are quite firm, but this is common in Korea. Rooms have complimentary bottled water and tea (green tea and brown rice green tea). There are many shops and restaurants(Korean & foreign ) nearby. You can walk to Insadong, museums, and the palaces. There is a 7-11 in the hotel open until 1am.
Stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to South Korea. After travelling for 20 hours it was a pleasure to book-in to the Makers, greeted by friendly staff (in perfect English). The hotel is in a good location with subway entrance immediately outside - a real bonus after long days of sightseeing! I would definitely recommend the Makers - we all loved it, especially its quirky decor...who'd have thought a pommel horse would look good in a lobby?!!
Hotel Nafore is in a great location in the heart of Seoul. Just blocks from great shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. Staff was friendly and helped us with all questions. A must stay if you are in Seoul!
"Excellent Value in the Delightful City of Seoul "
I arrived at Hotel Amass in the dark in pouring rain.My initial reaction was not positive but do not judge a book by its cover.I came to appreciate what an excellent place to stay this hotel is both for its wonderful location only minutes walk from Changdeokgung Palace and the delightful Bukchon Hanok Village Quarter and also for its friendly and helpful staff.
Although the room was not of immediate appeal I came to appreciate both its comfort and cleanliness during my stay. The bed was really comfortable unlike some of the hard surfaces I have had to endure in China in the past.
I will certainly return to the Amass on my next visit to this beautiful and often overlooked city.
The room - Double Deluxe Korean Style - easily accommodated 3 adults and 1 child. They had provided us with two futons which were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and toilet was separate for added convenience when there were four of us. The closet was large, fridge was large enough to store a few bottles of water and juice, a kettle was provided as well as coffee and tea bags. We liked that they served breakfast - which was delicious and filling - so that we just came down and came back up after eating to get ready for the day. There is free laundry in the basement - laundry soap provided as well.
All in all we enjoyed our stay at Sunbee Hotel amd would stay at this hotel again.
"Great hotel to stay next to Cheonggyecheon stream"
This hotel felt very new and the staff was both friendly and quick to confirm my reservation. Not only was the room also roomy and properly maintained, it was also easily accessible from Jongno-3-ga subway station in the heart of Seoul, making me wonder why I haven't been suggested this hotel before. I only stayed for a day, but I think I could easily stay here for a week at a time if the need arose.
