"If like me you vacation at a hotel for a nice room to sleep in but not to spend your whole time there and thus requiring a lot of amenities and luxury, then this place is quite nice. The kitchen and hotel staff are excellent, friendly and anxious to please. Food fantastic for a small hotel. Peaceful locale and walk to points of interest. The only improvement would be hot water instead of luke warm (but the Merida heat makes it tolerable) and better toilet flushing (both of which are not...

"Can’t say enough about the hotel staff - I was in a room that was above a fruit tree so there were ants in the bathroom and the staff switched me to another room upgraded for no charge. They were so friendly and accommodating throughout my whole stay and even when I told them I would be home late they waited up for me. Would highly Recommend. Pool and hotel area were nice, ac worked, didn’t eat there but they had breakfast. "
