“Better than I expected”
like many reviews, be aware of likelyhood of some items may be stolen. So, i did not leave any valuables at a room. however, some one managed to steal my camera from my bag either at the beach or by the pool. i was careless for few minutes since there were many people around. the safe in the room was acceptable. it requires you to put a code on it for the first time. so, a maid can not open it with her room keys; but still do not take chance leaving large amount of money there. although to my surprise, the maid did not take her tip on my second day since i just left it by the nightstand and didn't use an envelope provided by the hotel. overall, it was worth the money. room wall was thin but i guess it depends on who stays around your room; it could get really noisy.
“Had a great time!”
My wife and I went on vacation to the GR Solaris and had a fantastic time. The room was good and the deck was huge with great views of the pool area and ocean. Food was pretty good. Always something to eat and to try. The staff was friendly.
“relaxing and restful”
spent much time at the adult pool because there were many children at the other pools. the water was warm and the drinks were cold. it was very windy while there. don't know if this is normal or if we were just unlucky. the rooms were nice. we asked for a king bed, but got 2 doubles. they did offer to move us the next morning but it was too much trouble to unpack and repack, but the room we got was just fine. Food was adequate, not exceptional, but we were never starved. shows were the best.
“Best Value Ever”
We stayed a week at the GR Solaris Cancun in a premium room with hot tub on the deck. The experience was fantastic and the all inclusive offered great value. I would highly recomend this property
“Very Impressed”
We stayed here for Spring Break with our family. We were extremely pleased. THe hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff was friendly and fun to be around. They always had something going on there. We took a day trip to Xelha and that was alot of fun too. The food was excellent although I cant say I cared too much for Marco Polo. We only ate there 1 night. I would definately return to this hotel and would highly recommend it!
“Very pleasant stay”
I stayed in this hotel with my wife in October 2009 and our stay was very pleasant. The food in the hotel was very good, and the service was very satisfactory. The room is very nice and comfortable, with the only drawback being that the A/C thermostat sometimes seemed to be malfunctioning. Apart from that, everything else was very pleasant.
“Pleasantly surprised”
After reading some of the reviews I was a little bit concerned, but nothing bad mentioned about the hotel was true. There was always a great selection of food and seafood. The staff went out of their way to make us feel satisfied. Excellent service, live entertainment until midnight, drinks, etc. What else can you wish for? My 7 and 10 year old kids loved the kids club. Nothing negative that I can think of. Yes, you can always whine about something. For example we couldn't go out kayaking but it was because of the strong wind. Overall this was one of our best stay in Mexico out of 6.
“Beautiful Hotel”
We had a wonderful time. Our room was georgous, food was good and most of the staff were very nice. We will go back again. This hotel has a "Vip club" which is like the "time share" but we didn't feel pressured or treated differently because we were not members.
“The Omaharts”
Excellent service! 5 star dining in Marco Polo, one of several restaurants on premises. Wonderful all around. Activities coordinated by resort to take advantage of. Clean rooms, excellent service, fresh wonderful food, great drinks, too!!! All inclusive, can't be beat! Beach excellent! Separate area for adult pool-quieter for the readers, and other pools for activities and families with kids. Well laid out, great service even on the beach! Hotel is 9 years old and very well kept!
“Excellent Hotel Choice!”
Excellent location to airport & shopping. Beautiful hotel on the beach. Very clean, friendly service & great food with access to a 5* restaurant daily.
