Dominican Republic Scuba Diving Vacations

it is ok for the price; entertainment could be better. I mean if I return to PC I would go to a different resort, but is is not bad we had awesome time at the beach. But rooms need improvement, mattress is very hard. Staff is sometimes rude at the coffee shop, gardens are well maintained, lobby is nice, buffet is good.

To say the least my stay at this resort was an experience! Let me start by saying the pros are the servers at the buffet & the lovely lady that cleaned my room. Vanessa, Marcos, Katherine and Jose were attentive, very friendly & made my daughter’s 12th birthday special! FOOD 4/10 we were given Sunny delight as orange juice. The passionfruit was from a water down machine. I wasn’t sure what parts of chicken I was eating. Ham questionable steak questionable and the Dominican food was not Dominican food. I was absolutely disappointed. Also having to go off the resort to eat some decent food NOW with that being said…this is not my 1st all inclusive resort; so my expectations & my experience fell extremely short! Before leaving NY i learned i would need an extra day stay at the resort due to my flight being canceled. I was told this would not be a problem. Upon check I informed Juan at the checkin desk of this; once again I was told no problem but I would have to pay the extra day stay upon checkout. The day before my checkout on the day, I was actually supposed to check out. I was automatically checked out of my room when I went to the front desk after tryingthree time to get into my room, I was then told I was checked out and had to pay a late checkout fee! There was a lot of back-and-forth until I did not pay the checkout fee. What was that back into my room after two hours no compensation I felt unheard and disregarded. I would not be returning to this resort.

I stayed in the Reserve section for two nights. Although the amount I was ultimately charged did not match the amount I was told at check-in, I still think the upgrade was worth it. Since it was my first visit and I do not speak Spanish, having conceirge available to guide me through daily activities and programs was very helpful. Most staff members were kind and helpful. The adult-only pool was clean, relaxing, and not crowded. I also visited the family pool, which was larger and also looked very nice. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the calmer atmosphere. The food was good and there were plenty of options. As a vegetarian with mushroom and eggplant allergies, I still had enough variety. I enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Santé and dinner at Blue Agave. Blue Agave had a lovely atmosphere, but the service there was disappointing. My plates were cleared twice while I was still eating, simply because I was typing on my phone. I asked about dessert options and was told churros & vanilla ice cream fritters. I asked for vanilla ice cream with churros, and after about 5 min I was told they only had chocolate ice cream. I had been there only around 40 minutes, the restaurant was nearly empty, and I felt rushed and unwelcome when I had hoped to enjoy my last evening. My reservation included spa credit, but I was booked at Zel, so I couldnt use it. My personal concierge was great and arranged a jacuzzi bath both nights. I also enjoyed yoga, zumba, and bachata on the beach.
