The aesthetic on the property was very good. It was clean, and well kept. We were however very disappointed with the lack of dining reservations available during our entire stay, and it made it more inconvenient that room service was an additional cost, and the restaurants did not accept walk-ins. We were only able to secure a few reservations, and for one of them we were forced to purchase two bottles of wine. Also only the sports bar is 24 hour service, so you are limited in food options... not even the buffet is open all day. A lot of the staff was rude and unhelpful. They gave the impression that they did not want to be bothered, especially if you speak a different language from them. Some staff members were awesome and very helpful and fun. We were only able to spend about 15 minutes on the beach, which was inundated with salespeople trying to sell you souvenirs, photographs, cigars, and excursions. All of these sales people are locals, and not members or affiliates of the resort. We were bothered so much we picked up and went back to the pool, because we could not relax and enjoy the beach without being bombarded with annoying sales pitches. Despite these inconveniences, the pool area was really nice and the only place we really enjoyed relaxing during this trip. Finally, we were discourage by the amount of times we were asked for tips. We were greeting by a man who put necklaces on us at the resort, but as soon as he did he asked for money.
