And you wake up at 2 am in the morning with the sound of your neighbors coming home from their party, or at 5am to the sound of people waking up for their early flight. Or at 8 am with people having casual conversations in the covered walkway. You head to the buffet and there’s lots of food selection, most of them, not labeled, so you choose only what you are familiar with. You approach the server for cutlery coz no one is approaching you and pull out your language translation app because they’re trying to talk to you in Spanish and you couldn’t understand. The only good service I had was when I gave tip at the start of my meal. The fountain pop at the buffet tastes like chlorine. The Santa Fe took about an hour to get 2 pieces of steak served. The Coral we had to walk out after waiting for 20 minutes and no server to take our order. The Kyoto, we didn’t attend because there was a line up of 12 people ahead of us. Pool is cold! The only things I liked about this resort are the interior design, the room cleaners and minibar stockers, the presence of indoor shops, the strykers bar, the italian restaurant, the calm water at the beach, the turtles, on site pharmacy, pirates water park, the shuttle train and expensive golf. Moldy daybed outside, tiles outside by the patio door all moldy, 3rd bedroom door was kept locked so no access, we didn't need the 3rd bedroom but still makes u wonder why they kept it locked up. No plumbing in the kitchen sink...and we were never told about this! Found out when we woke up one morning with water on the kitchen floor. The sink was hooked up with a flex pipe going into a big bucket underneath the sink and the pipe had fallen out of the bucket. Fly squat was stored with the kitchen utensils, coffee maker with no coffee pot, no can opener and the cherry on top of the sunday...found a huge cockroach under the kitchen sink while trying to reinstall the pipe in the bucket. Host was sympathetic to us with the issues but we never heard back from the owner...last message was that they were going to leave it in Expedia's hands when we asked for a partial refund as in order to salvage part of our vacation we were forced to find another location that was sanitary."
