Oahu Kid friendly Vacations

The staff was friendly and helpful. Very convenient location. My only complaint is having to pay $60 per night to park your vehicle. The hotel does not have self parking and you are practically cornered to paying the valet parking. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Only stayed one night before a cruise. It was fine for that. Was a block away from the beach and there was a lot of street noise. It didn’t feel like a beach resort. It’s an old hotel that has recently renovated but still felt old. Not a drop of shampoo or shower gel in the bottles on shower wall. Unfortunately I didn’t find out till I was in the shower. A nail or carpet staple in transition band from foyer to room punctured my toe. The food in the Appertivo restaurant on street level of hotel is amazingly good and well priced. I ordered octopus ceviche, gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce and meatball with curry sauce. I used my Expedia food credit there and would have gone again if I stayed another night.

Great bed and staff were very friendly and helpful

The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki.
