West End Fishing Vacations

The staff was absolutely wonderful. So helpful with parking, local areas to visit, restaurants. Everytime we would come back in, warm welcome, chatting and truly a delight to be welcomed that way. We didn't get to try the restaurant but the prices seemed to be reasonable. The only complaint and very minor at that was the size of the room and the view. The room was very small and my view was of a back alley and dumpsters.

The furniture was badly in need of replacement. Desk chair in poor shape. Duvet would not stay in the cover. Fridge broken but a replacement set up in room. I did not get the room I had viewed online. I wanted a view and all I had was a roof covered in paving stones. The breakfast was good as well as the pool.

The hotel was in a convenient location with respect to commuting to Ottawa. However, the beds/pillows were not comfortable. We are on the first floor and the you can hear all the movement on the floor above. The walls are paper thin. You can hear the outdoor and indoor hallway sounds clearly. The sink did not drain properly and the bathroom was quite tight. The mini fridge was also extremely loud. We did not get a restful sleep and one of us had to participate in the 1/2 marathon the next day.

Second time staying at this hotel during marathon weekend. Love the vibe, service snd restaurant. We had an adjoining room (even though we weren't traveling with another party). I have to say that the room was not sound-proof so that was a little bit of a negative, but overall, it's fantastic.
