Varsity Stadium Tours and Activities

Although it was pouring rain all day the day we arrived, the amenities looked pretty great. Our deluxe cottage however, was not very deluxe. First off it was not the cottage that was portrayed in the pictures when we booked it and there was no caveat that we may not receive that exact unit as shown. Hipuge difference. We were very disappointed. Make sure you understand exactly what unit you are renting and ask for pictures of that specific unit. The unit we ended up getting was run down, dated and very small. The ‘sitting room’ was an outside room with no TV or a table and there a leak in the roof somewhere. There was water all over the floor. The queen mattress in our unit was horrific. When my husband got into bed, I rolled all the way over to him. Even though we were there for less than 24 hours, our clothes and everything that we brought had a very strong musty mouldy scent to it. Personally, I would not rent here again unless I knew exactly what I was getting. This was unit 153.

This hotel and its staff are exceptional. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Upon arrival, the breakfast buffet is jaw-dropping. Everything from hot entries to fresh fruit and delicious pastries, the buffet is the best way to start the day. Every staff member was helpful, courteous and caring. Can't recommend Hotel Riu Plaza Toronto enough!

Great location! Hotel is quaint as expected from a refurbished 120 year old hotel. Staff are incredible! So helpful, so welcoming, met many European travellers staying in the hotel and delighted to see them receive a warm Canadian welcome. Rooms are small but adequate, very clean and well maintained. The only recommendation would be a full length wall mirror in the room so two people can get ready at the same time. Great to have a restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. Recommend it for fantastic location, excellent service and price.
