I grew up close by & my parents live around the corner so it made it easy to visit with them. There is easy access to all my favorite places downtown and the lake, aka Hungry mother Park. I cannot wait to come back and commune with my favorite VA backroads . »

« This was the perfect place for me and my family. The accommodations were as described and the peace and serenity of the view and critters were an added bonus. We enjoyed playing board games and enjoying one anothers company. The only negative was no wifi password was available, but that lent itself well to more family time, so not a major issue and possibly something I overlooked. We loved it and look forward to the next visit! »

« There was some confusion over reservation but host took care if it. Problem with water but host was getting it taken care of. Location was nice. Very steep dirt grassy driveway. Rain and snow could make it difficult if not impossible to to get up. No check in or check out instructions. No large garbage can outside. With all yhis said the host did all he could do to make sure we had what we needed. »

« Things I liked about the property: Convenient location to many great fishing location, house old but very clean, quiet, plenty of parking, nice fridge/freezer and kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. Things I wish were better: furniture not comfortable, bed pillows were clean but not comfy, small bathroom, toilet worked but low water pressure. Would stay again and better than a hotel. »

The beautiful and spacious front porch with rocking chairs and a swing was an amazing place to share laughter and memories while the kids played in the expansive front lawn. « I very impressed but I will honest when we first pulled it looks very rustic but once inside it was very clean and the bed omg it was like sleeping on a cloud, we loved how we could freely walk the property and we really enjoyed the farm animals which are all very tamed even the chickens lol this place to rent especially if you have kids that go to Emory and Henry College we stayed graduation weekend my mind was at ease because we did not have to deal with any traffic »
