"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep.
There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...
"We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room has a private onsen with a view of Lake Toya. It has a traditional Japanese aesthetic with all the modern elements. The property itself is not located in the Toyako Onsen area but they offer free shuttle service (about 5-min drive). The staff is very hospitable and accommodating with reasonable requests such as shuttle to Toya Station (about 10-min drive). "One air conditioner is not enough for summer time. It’s very hot at night and tgere are many bugs at the 1st floor. Lastly the mattress is too soft and we can’t sleep well.
