This is a gem of a hotel. Located on the edge of the lake with an amazing view. The hotel has a genuine Japanese vibe. The rooms have baths with hot spring water. The hotel staff have variable english skills but they are very helpful. The nearby village has lots of great restaurants. 30 minute drive to Rusutsu.
Room was super good!! And the view was simply awesome. Staff was also super polite and provided all the necessary briefing for our stay. Breakfast was great too!! Also special mention to the pantry that had free flow drinks too!

The room was wonderful. Especially the hot-spring bath with a view. Breakfast was also great. Staff also drove us from the hotel to the Toyako
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room has a private onsen with a view of Lake Toya. It has a traditional Japanese aesthetic with all the modern elements. The property itself is not located in the Toyako Onsen area but they offer free shuttle service (about 5-min drive). The staff is very hospitable and accommodating with reasonable requests such as shuttle to Toya Station (about 10-min drive). The Kaiseki Breakfast was really good and reasonably priced (must be booked in advance)—We will book this property again.
A truly traditional Japanese experience!
As soon as I arrived, I was asked to change into their slippers and relax in the lobby while enjoying a welcome drink, all while looking out over the most peaceful lake view. Later, the staff carried my luggage to the room and thoughtfully explained every detail.
The private onsen was spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely breathtaking. The public bath was serene and open until midnight. Everything was very clean, and all the amenities were of high selection.
The breakfast was fantastic! The sashimi was so fresh and delicious that even someone like me, who usually doesn’t eat raw fish, enjoyed it without any fishy taste.
The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and sweet, truly made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to experience authentic Japanese hospitality and peaceful luxury by Lake Toya.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This hotel is amazing, modern, clean and 5 mins drive from Toya main town. The staff are very attentive and super helpful! Highly recommend.
Although the price is a bit expensive, it is value for money with the guest service is excellent. The room is spacious with private onsen. The hotel itself is new too.
The hotel itself is a bit on the far end of the town, making it nice and quiet, with a fantastic view over lake Toya and the islands. If you come by train or bus, they kindly offer shuttle services, which was greatly appreciated. Rooms very comfortable with their own onsen, beds amazing, breakfast also great - both options, Japanese and Western style. The only problem was that even though you were a hotel guest, you could not dine in the hotel, unless you call at least two days in advance. This was not mentioned anywhere during booking, so we were unpleasantly surprised that we couldn’t eat in our own hotel, considering that the towns is about 4 km away. So we had to take a taxi to eat somewhere. The restaurant was not even full in the evening, thus we felt quite disappointed by this strange situation. Other than this though, it was a very pleasant stay.
Amazing service and attention from hotel staff. The Japanese traditional breakfast was incredible, one of the best meals during our stay in Hokkaido. In room bath had great view.
