When is the best time to go to Scenic Heights?

The best time to go to Scenic Heights is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months. These periods offer the most pleasant weather conditions for exploring the area's natural beauty. Spring in Scenic Heights brings mild temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, with blossoming wildflowers and lush greenery across the landscapes. It's an ideal time for outdoor activities such as hiking the trails in the nearby state parks or enjoying a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens. Couples often appreciate the romantic setting created by the blooming scenery and comfortable weather, great for scenic drives or vineyard tours. Autumn provides similarly comfortable temperatures, generally between 10°C and 20°C, alongside the spectacular display of changing leaf colours. The crisp air and vibrant foliage make it an excellent time for scenic photography, hot air balloon rides, or enjoying local harvest festivals. Families find this season particularly appealing for apple picking and corn mazes, with many local farms offering family-friendly activities. While summer (June to August) is also popular, it can be quite warm and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C. Winter (November to March) is generally cooler, with occasional light snowfall, which can be picturesque but may limit some outdoor activities.

Comfort Inn & Suites East Ellijay

8/10 Good

"Kyleigh’s"

Hampton Inn Blue Ridge

8/10 Good

"Overall, a pretty solid stay at the Hampton Inn in Blue Ridge! The check-in process was quick and seamless, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We stayed in room 426, which was clean and well-maintained, including the bathroom. The beds were fairly comfortable, although I have to say the pillows were absolutely atrocious and could definitely use an upgrade. One thing worth mentioning is that the shower floor was quite slippery when wet, so I ended up placing a towel down for extra traction. As for breakfast, I'm not a big breakfast person, so I kept it simple with some orange juice and a bagel. However, they offered the usual selection of sausage, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and other basics. Nothing particularly impressive, but enough to get your morning started. The fitness center was also nothing to brag about, but it served its purpose. Parking was plentiful, including several spaces designated for electric vehicles and accessible parking. Now, where this hotel really shines is its location! You're literally in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge, with restaurants, shops, and local attractions just steps away.Another nice convenience is that each floor has vending and ice machines, making it easy to grab something without having to head down to the lobby. One feature I particularly appreciated was the added security. After hours, guests need their room key to access both the parking area and the hotel."

Top 10 VRBO in U.S. Riverfront, Hot Tub, Sleeps 12, As seen on TV!

10/10 Excellent

"Very secluded, and peaceful, just what we needed. Accommodations were very nice. There was just 2 in our party, so the place was too big, but we wanted this place for the seclusion, and how nice it appeared, it lived up to expectations!"

" Nottely River Retreat"

10/10 Excellent

"Nice yard for quick and easy toilet breaks for my dogs. Screened in porch for relaxing and listening to the river flow over the rocks Well stocked kitchen and plenty of blankets for cozying up in the living room Appreciate all the extras including a cabinet of games & puzzles. We used Both a/c @ heat but sunny every day. Foggy most mornings and multiple deer."
