The management company was non-responsive unfortunately as we had some minor issues that needed to be addressed and they were impossible to get a hold of. We did receive one voicemail but when contacting the number recommended there was no answer, and never got another call back. The home was clean. However, there is a woodpecker that has caused some damage on the second floor of the house near the roof/eave, off of the main master bedroom. We had a lady bug (of all things) infestation in that room, and most of the upstairs, which I can only attribute to them trying to escape the cold. They were all over the curtains and floors, and were crawling all over the bedroom(s). Hundreds, it was kind of surreal. We just ignored and dealt with it. The gas grill outside had a sizeable mouse nest in it so it was not usable for our group. And the hot tub gets "luke" warm at best. But again, the home was clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Pool table was fun and the internet works well. I would give more than 3 stars but not getting responses from the management was the only negative. We were concerned about a previous review that alluded to bedbugs. Property management was fantastic! They listen to, and reassured us on all of our concerns. I was thrilled to learn that they have an entire team that addresses any such concerns, including a canine bedbug detection unit. The home was inspected, and we were reassured that it was completely free, and ready for our arrival. The rest of the trip went smoothly. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are very comfortable, and with our group of seven, there was always somewhere to lounge on the large couch, or play games at the large dining table. It was the perfect getaway for our group. We had a lot of rain during our stay, and there is a leak from the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom. The property management the group of retreats in the area was excellent, kind, professional, diligent. The property owner not so much. Much of that had to do with the pool (see other reviews). Any move forward to make stay more enjoyable was taken back by property owner. Stay in this area with this management group. Be wary of this property owner…realizing of course that it is his house. Although the master bedroom upstairs had an issue with ladybugs, the kids turned it into a playful activity removing them and setting them free. This is a late review, and I feel a bit bad about it considering the experience we had at this cabin was nothing short of amazing. I booked this property in April for what we called a laxelorette for my cousin who was just married recently. We came over prepared with pots, pans, and utensils because we wanted to cook. If you plan on bringing pots, pans, etc… DON’T. They had EVERYTHING that we needed, literally everything. I’m really big on decorum and the decorum here is a mood booster in itself. The pictures do not do this property justice. The screened porch was a favorite social spot for our coffee time. The view outside is AMAZING! We made memories here that we will hold forever and loved the property so much that (if the property is available of course) we would like to plan a stay here every year. There were about 10 of us total and most were able to sleep comfortably. Just know there are only a total of 5 beds even though it states you can sleep 10\. The grill was not working properly so we couldn’t regulate the heat and the stove/oven did not cook evenly. Other than that, the accommodations were great! Loved the basketball hoop, hot tub, game room and living area. Very cozy and spacious. One other detail we were not aware of was that there is another property directly in front of this cabin and it is occupied. We felt a bit uncomfortable having another family on the property during our stay. They did not bother us or anything, but it felt like we had less privacy because of it. We expected to have the property to ourselves. Overall a great stay, close to everything, but you still felt like you were in the mountains. Would recommend this property. ##### Zahara F. Its nestled up a long driveway with lots of privacy from neighbors and the road. Its a very quick drive to downtown blue ridge. It is NOT up in the mountains. It has a nice fire pit, hot tub, and pool. Great for families or an adult weekend away. I highly recommend this house and we will be returning! ##### Lindsey t.
