Eastwind Hotel Lake Placid

"We had a wonderful weekend at the Eastwind- it’s a great independent property with very cute, uniquely decorated rooms. We particularly enjoyed the nightly fire pit where we could meet other travelers and make s’mores with the provided kits. The coffee in the morning also provided a great opportunity to gather recommendations for the day from the staff and other travelers. It’s very convenient to the downtown/Main Street area and highways. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Lake Placid!"

"It was in a great location, walkable to the village, but not in the thick of it. Room and property were a little dated, but clean. Person at check in was not overly friendly, but not rude. Just quiet and gave minimal information. Overall we were happy with our stay and enjoyed the view of the lake from our little balcony. (I do however wish there were partitions between the room balconies, as we had to keep our curtain closed more than we would have liked because of kids walking the balcony)"
