"I would love to give this hotel 5 stars but unfortunately I can only give 4. The good: it’s a lovely hotel with spacious suites. It’s also fairly cheap to take a Lyft or Uber to downtown. The bad: hard bed, lackluster water pressure in the shower, a middle of the road breakfast, and parking across the street."

"The hotel looked like it had recently been renovated. Everything was clean and tidy. I did not like the fact that the in room refrigerator did NOT have a freezer compartment to freeze our ice pack for the cooler we took into the mtns daily. The breakfast was great very similar to what we had last year in Houghton/Hancock MI. Great way to start the day. The front desk person we saw when we checked in was not as helpful as she could be. They should have a list of restaurants in the area that are available and what their hours are. We had this at the Country Inn & Suites and it was great. Here the person who checked us in said "google it". I don't live and die by google and did NOT have access to a computer or a smart phone. I am a senior and don't have those items by choice. They overbooked their hotel and some days we did not get towel changes without having to ask for them in the evening. Staffing issues need to be thought out better to prepare for bus tours groups that were constant during our 6 day stay. I liked the beds very comfortable mattress."
